Islamic Terrorism Timeline
12/1/2006
- January 3, 1985: Five Islamic jihadists wielding assault rifles kidnapped a Swiss diplomat as he was driving through Muslim West Beirut. Eric Wehrli was forced into the jihadist's Mercedes by three of the militants while the other two drove off in Wehrli's Volkswagen.Wehrli was released four days later by the Shiite AMAL terrorist group who claimed to have found the hideout where Mr. Wehrli was being held by Hizballah. reported that Mr. Wehrli had been seized in retaliation for the arrest of Hussein al-Atat in Zurich while he was on his way to blow up the American Embassy in Rome. Hussein had explosives strapped to his body at the time of his capture so there was no question he was an Islamic terrorist.- January 8, 1985: In Lebanon, a bomb was detonated in a car driven by Zaven Karagozian, a Dashnak Party (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) leader. Karagozian lost a leg in the explosion and ultimately lost his life as a result of his wounds. Turkish "Armenian Hunters" were responsible for the crime.- January 8, 1985: An American Roman Catholic priest in charge of a relief agency was kidnapped by gunmen in the Muslim sector of Beirut. He was the fifth American to disappear on the capital's streets in as many months. Witnesses said eight Arab men brandishing automatic rifles grabbed the Christian cleric, Lawrence Jenco, from his car as he was being driven to his office.Jenco was released after 18 months in captivity, in July 1986. His captors were members of Islamic Jihad and thus were working at the behest of the Iranian government. The Islamic kidnappers claimed that the release of their Catholic victim was a "goodwill gesture.".- January 8, 1985: A French military observer, Lieutenant Colonel Claude Cueno, was assassinated in West Beirut by members of Islamic Jihad.- January 8, 1985: An Iraqi doctor was stabbed thirty times with a dagger in London. He had recently sent a letter to several newspapers in which he condemned the Islamic terrorists operating in the service of the Iranian, Libyan, and Syrian regimes.- January 12, 1985: A Syrian warrant officer and his son were kidnapped and murdered by rival Muslims in Tripoli, Lebanon.- January 13, 1985: A Libyan diplomat was assassinated outside his home by jihadists belonging to the Islamic Al Borkan (Volcano) Liberation Organization.- January 14, 1985: Two French military observers were killed in an ambush while they were touring the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility, saying that the soldiers were caught "spying for NATO, Israel, and the Lebanese Phalangists.".- January 16, 1985: In Israel, an Iranian rocket was fired into Israel from Jordan.- January 26, 1985: A firebomb was thrown at a Jewish civilian in Israel. He died several days later from the burns he suffered at the hands of the Palestinian terrorist.- January 31, 1985: A bus en route to Hebron, Israel from Jerusalem was fired on by Islamic jihadists. Two people were wounded in the attack.
- February 1, 1985: An Israeli died of burns he suffered after a Molotov cocktail was thrown into his car near Qalqiliya, Israel. It was the second Palestinian murder of this type in less than a week.- February 1, 1985: Kurdish Muslims in Iraq kidnapped two Italian technicians in protest of what they perceived as foreign support for the secular Iraqi government.- February 1, 1985: In Cyprus, an attempt was made by an unidentified Arab to assassinate Palestinian businessman Hisian El Saudi. The intended victim was shot four times while sitting in his office.- February 2, 1985: Bobby's Bar, which catered to U.S. servicemen stationed in Greece, was the target of a bombing. Seventy-eight people, most of them Americans, were injured in the blast. The National Front took credit for the attack, saying that they thought "Americans were responsible for the continuing occupation of Cyprus." At issue was that following the fall of the Ottoman Empire, Islands like Cyprus were now free of Islamic oppression - something that Carlos the Jackal and these PFLP perpetrators did not like.- February 6, 1985: In Lebanon, ten Israeli soldiers were wounded in a suicide car-bombing near the Burj Shemali Palestinian refugee camp.- February 6, 1985: West German police said two men entered the Iranian Bank Melli with an incendiary device hidden in a bag. After setting the building on fire they fled. Fourteen people were burned. A caller from the Fedajin Royal Iranian Monarchy claimed responsibility in calls to German news agencies.- February 7, 1985: A group of Lebanese Muslims seized a Cyprus Airways jet and demanded the release of two Lebanese terrorists jailed in Cyprus. The gunmen freed the plane and all hostages after the Nicosia government agreed to consider releasing the pair who had hijacked a Romanian jetliner in June 1983. The Black Brigade claimed responsibility.Active in the mid-1980s, the Black Brigade was a small anti-Libyan Islamic terrorist cell that was devoted to Shia Imam Moussa Sadr, the founder of the terrorist organization AMAL. The Muslim cleric had vanished after visiting Libya in 1978. It was suspected that Libyan dictator Muammar Qadhafi, with whom Sadr had personal, religious, and political differences, had Sadr killed. Qadhafi insisted that after Sadr's trip, the imam boarded a plane to Rome. While Italian officials found Sadr's luggage, the cleric wasn't with it (or in it).The Black Brigade was little more than another name for AMAL, just as Black_September was a pseudonym for the PLO. In the five years immediately following Imam Sadr's disappearance, a total of seven planes either belonging to Libyan Airlines, flying to Libya, or flying out of Libya were hijacked by AMAL. As for Sadr, in 2002, Iran announced that the religious terrorist had been killed by Libyan agents. So even Qadhafi did his part to fight terrorism.- February 14, 1985: In the Philippines, Muslims protesting U.S. and Japanese support of the popularly elected Marcos government claimed responsibility for a hotel fire in Manila which killed 30, including five Americans. The murderous blaze destroyed the Regent of Manila hotel. In the middle of the night guests were forced to leap from windows as the hotel was plunged into complete darkness. This was the fourth arson attack in the Philippines in as many months. In total, forty people were killed in the reign of terror.- February 19, 1985: In Lebanon, an Israeli major was killed by a roadside bomb. The explosion occurred near the Shiite village of Bazouriyeh. In response to the attack, Israeli troops imposed a curfew on Shia Muslims in the area.- February 23, 1985: A bomb exploded in a Paris Marks & Spencer department store. One employee of the Jewish-owned store was killed and fourteen others were injured. Several groups claimed responsibility for the bombing, including Abu Nidal's Fatah Revolutionary Commando Group, Carlos the Jackal's PFLP affiliated Action Directe, and Habib Muaamar, a Tunisian jihadist group. The later was named after an Islamic terrorist who was arrested in 1986, after having admitted to having placed the bomb inside another branch of the same Jewish-owned department store. In December, 1989 Habib Muaamar was sentenced to life imprisonment for his role in this deadly bombing as well as for the bombing of a Marks & Spencer London store in 1983. Muaamar was a member of the Iraqi-based Arab Organization May 15, led by Hussein al-Umari (Abu Ibrahim). It was a splinter of the PFLP-Special Operations Group.- February 27, 1985: In Morocco, a West German plane carrying three explorers on a scientific expedition was downed by Muslim Polisario terrorists based out of the Western Sahara. There were no survivors. Polisario said that the plane was similar to reconnaissance planes used by the Moroccan armed forces.- February 28, 1985: A Libyan ambassador to Austria was shot and critically wounded as he left his home in Vienna. Ghadamsi was hit five times while trying to escape. He was an opponent of Libyan leader Moamar Qadhafi.
- March 1, 1985: Another Libyan businessman was murdered in Rome. He was the thirteenth victim of Qadhafi's OPEC regime to have been killed in Italy since 1980.- March 1, 1985: In Kuwait, an Iraqi Embassy diplomat and his son were assassinated in their home by four jihadists. Prior to the murders, rival Muslims had called, threatening to murder members of the Iraqi Embassy staff.- March 8, 1985: A car bomb killed over 80 people in Beirut, Lebanon. The massive and deadly device exploded outside the Beirut home of a Shia terrorist leader who had inspired the terrorist attacks on U.S. installations which had left hundreds of Americans dead. Unfortunately, the Islamic cleric escaped unharmed, and sadly, 200 more people were injured in the blast - not all of whom where associated with Islam, Hizballah, or mass murder. As one would expect, the U.S. was accused of involvement, as if American troops would deploy a suicide bomber rather than an aerial bomber. However, the United States was not without blame. In late 1984, President Ronald Reagan approved a covert operation directing the CIA to train and support counterterrorist units (including those made up from rival Islamic sects) for strikes against suspected terrorists before they could attack U.S. facilities in the Middle East. About four months later, one of those units supposedly acted without CIA approval, perpetrating this deadly mission. Using American funding they hired Sunni jihadists to strike the Shia leader. Embarrassed by their lack of judgment, the Reagan administration canceled it covert operation using one form of Islamic terror to confront another.- March 8, 1985: In the United Arab Emirates, an 18-year-old Arab Muslim admitted that he had planned a suicide mission to destroy a Jordanian airliner with 107 passengers and crew aboard. The wannabe mass murderer was arrested in Dubai following the igniting of the bomb's detonator. The bomb itself fizzled. The explosive device had been timed to explode while the aircraft was en route to Amman, Jordan. The young Muslim claimed that he had been recruited by a Middle Eastern country and that they had provided his false passport. He he was then sent to another Arab state, where he was trained for a month, receiving instructions on how to carry out the bombing. The bomb itself was furnished by an undisclosed terrorist association.- March 10, 1985: A Lebanese Muslim suicide car bomber killed 12 Israeli soldiers and wounded 14 others in a convoy. A young woman's body was found among the remains. The Lebanese National Resistance Front, an affiliate of the Syrian National Resistance Party, claimed credit as did Islamic Jihad and Hizballah.- March 14, 1985: Geoffrey Nash, a British citizen, was abducted by Muslims near his home in Lebanon. The Khaybar Brigades claimed responsibility for the kidnapping. The Islamic terrorist group took its name from the Jewish farming village between Mecca and Medina which was overrun by Muhammad and his Muslim mujahideen in the 7th century. The Khaybar terrorist attack was second only to the Qurayza genocide in ruthlessness and repulsiveness. For an accounting of Muhammad's depravity and how it has inspired today's jihadists, read the "Islam's Holocaust" and "Blood & Booty" chapters of Prophet of Doom - Islam's Terrorist Dogma in Muhammad's Own Words. By reading what the earliest Islamic sources have to say about Muhammad's behavior you will discover why such a high percentage of Muslims are immoral. The Khaybar Brigades also claimed responsibility for the kidnappings of three French citizens and one other British citizen in Beirut. Unlike their mentor Muhammad, they have not been heard of since. The group's French Embassy victims were Danielle Perez, Marcel Fontaine, and Marcel Canton. In addition to Nash, they kidnapped a British oil executive named Brian Levick.- March 14, 1985: Father Kluiters, a Dutch Roman Catholic priest, disappeared while traveling in the Syrian-controlled Bekaa Valley in Eastern Lebanon. The cleric's body was found in a pit near a Shia village on April 1st. A note from the Vengeance Party was found in the priest's car.- March 15, 1985: British businessman Brian Levick was abducted in Beirut. He was forced into the kidnapper's car at gunpoint. The Muslim Khaybar Brigades then blew up Levick's car using a hand grenade. The jihadist said that the abduction was part of a campaign to rid the lands of Islam from infidels.- March 16, 1985: Terry Anderson, an AP correspondent, was kidnapped in Beirut by Hizballah. He would be held in captivity for over seven years. Anderson was not released until December 1991.- March 17, 1985: In Saudi Arabia an Arab Muslim hijacked a Saudi Arabian jet as it flew over Riyadh. Upon landing in the eastern edge of the Islamic fiefdom, the terrorist freed all 76 passengers and 21 crew members. Regime troops allege that they shot the lonely hijacker after he exploded a grenade in the Boeing 727.- March 17, 1985: Islamic militants seized an Italian diplomat in Beirut. The captors said that their mission was to rid Beirut of all non-Lebanese citizens, non-Muslims.The same day, other intolerant and immoral Muslims fired a grenade into the Chinese Embassy. They were also doing their part to rid "Islamic lands of infidels.".- March 18, 1985: A bomb exploded in the Israeli Embassy in Singapore.- March 21, 1985: Muslims displeased with the dictatorial regime in Jordan, bombed the Royal Jordanian Airlines offices in Athens, Rome and Nicosia, injuring a total of five people. In London an anonymous caller to a news agency said that the PLO's Black_September was responsible for the attacks, and that they would continue to hit Jordanian targets until the "client regime was overthrown." Had Jordan not murdered tens of thousands of Palestinians in September of 1970, there would have been no Black_September and Lebanon would not be in chaos.- March 22, 1985: The legacy of Muhammad struck again in war-torn Lebanon. The Khaybar Brigades kidnapped Marcel Fontaine, vice consul of the French Mission. He was driven away in a BMW similar to one used in three previous kidnappings.Later in the day, French diplomats Marcel Carton and Danielle Perez were reported kidnapped. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility, suggesting that the Iranian clerics thought of themselves as the embodiment of Muhammad's legacy and example. If their claim were true, the Khaybar Brigades was part of Islamic Jihad and thus Hizballah. As evidence the terror associations were one, the Khaybar Brigades also claimed responsibility for this kidnapping. Marcel Fontaine and Marcel Carton were released in 1988 after more than three years in captivity. French officials never said what concessions they made to win their release.- March 25, 1985: Alec Collette, a British journalist on U.N. assignment, was kidnapped just outside Beirut by an Islamic jihadist following Muhammad's example. Collett and an Austrian colleague were approaching Beirut when they were ambushed. A year after the attack, on April 23rd, 1986, the Organization of Socialist Muslims (an Abu Nidal affiliate), claimed that they had hanged Collett in retaliation for the U.S. air raids on Libya. Second only to the Syrian regime, Moamar Qadhafi had been the terrorist for hire's biggest benefactor.- March 25, 1985: Gilles Peyrolles, the director of the French Cultural Center in Tripoli in northern Lebanon, became the next victim of the religion of Islam. The diplomat was kidnapped by the Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Faction. They demanded that France free a jihadist colleague convicted of the murder of an American military attaché and an Israeli ambassador. The Muslim mujahideen stormed Peyrolles' home shortly after midnight.- March 27, 1985: A hijacker armed with a knife, forced a West German Lufthansa jet en route to Athens from Munich to land in Istanbul, Turkey. All 142 passengers were released when the Turks agreed to fly the Libyan man on to Libya. However, sharpshooters surrounded the plane and forced the gullible hijacker to surrender.- March 29, 1985: Muslims bombed a Paris theater during a festival of Jewish films. Eighteen people were wounded. The theater had received a threatening letter prior to the attack. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility, which meant that Iran was now attacking targets inside Europe. At the time, ignorant politicians said that they "feared the attack could signal a new phase in racially-inspired terrorism," as if Islam were ethnic and not religious.- March 29, 1985: A masked terrorist opened fire on customers in a bar in Bayonne, killing a young Basque student and wounding three others. The attack was attributed to the Spanish Anti-Terrorist Group.
- April 1, 1985: The Arab Unionist Nationalist Organization claimed responsibility for the assassination of a Libyan businessman in Cyprus. A statement released by the terrorists described Ahmad Barani as an "Agent...involved in watching the activities of Arab strugglers and submitting information about them to hostile services, thus causing serious harm to Arab national revolutionary movements." In other words, Ahmad wasn't a thief and killer and therefore wasn't a good Muslim. Good Muslims shot Barani in the face while he was gainfully employed in his Nicosia office.- April 1, 1985: The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan kidnapped two South Korean technicians in protest of their country's support of the secular Iraqi government.- April 3, 1985: The PLO's Black_September claimed credit for firing a bazooka round into the Jordanian Embassy in Rome. Even to this day, the murderous and dictatorial Jordanian regime is despised by Islamic jihadists - especially Palestinians. When King Abdallah (Slave-to-Allah) lied to America's Deceiver In Chief George W. Bush and told him that the only way to prevail in Iraq was to give the Palestinians their own country - one carved out of Israel rather than Jordan - he was trying to crawl back into favor with those who will eventually kill him and destroy his fiefdom.By closely examining Yahweh's Scripture we discover that once America "loots Israel" by "thinning the nation at the waist," a "peace treaty will be affirmed with many" prompting the Islamic "Magog Federation" headquartered in a combined Iran and Iraq and led by Gog who will be a Turk, and who will be known to the Muslims as the Mahdi, will trample Jordan on their way to invade Israel. I no longer wonder why Muslims would devour one of their own en route to annihilate Jews. And it's easy to see how Islam's best efforts will fail miserably when it comes to wiping Israel from the face of the earth.- April 4, 1985: Black_September claimed credit for a rocket attack against a Jordanian airliner as it prepared to take off from the Athens Airport. Fortunately, the rocket failed to explode, leaving only a small hole in the fuselage.- April 5, 1985: A Palestinian dissident was shot in Islamic Algeria. The victim had displayed wavering loyalties between Abu Nidal and Al Fatah.- April 7, 1985: A Libyan gunman murdered Gebril Denali, an exiled critic of syphilitic OPECer Moamar Qadhafi. Two German pedestrians in Bonn were wounded in the jihadist strike. The assassination occurred in crowded Cathedral Square and the murderer was arrested at the scene. The Libyan Embassy had tried to kidnap Denali in 1982.- April 10, 1985: A sixteen-year-old Muslim girl was beguiled by her religion to drive a Peugeot loaded with TNT into an Israeli convoy, killing two soldiers and herself. The repulsive Islamic suicide bomber wounded two others. The Shia terrorist organization AMAL claimed credit for the bloody affair.- April 11, 1985: A government militiaman was arrested for the murder of an Italian missionary in the southern Philippines. Father Tullio Favali was murdered by the Civilian Home Defense Forces, a 70,000 man paramilitary force armed by the Philippine government and the American CIA ostensibly to guard provincial villages against infiltration by communist guerrillas.Father Favali was called a "foreign devil" by the CHDF and was charged with aiding the Marxists - something "Liberation Theology" Catholics were famous for in South and Central America. The Ilagas brigade of the Civilian Home Defense Force was known to be cannibalistic. They kept a piece of the missionary's brain as a trophy. This was one of a million reasons Sun Tzu was wrong in the Art of War when he said "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Morally bankrupt, it is a lesson America's political and academic elite have not learned.- April 12, 1985: In Spain, a 20-pound bomb was placed in a restaurant catering to U.S. servicemen. It killed 18 Spaniards and wounded 82, 15 of whom were Americans. The three-story building outside Madrid collapsed. The Islamic Iranian government was responsible for the attack and acknowledged their complicity by claiming credit under their Palestinian Islamic Jihad brand. An unknown Palestinian group called Wa'd (Arabic for promise, the most meaningless word in Islam), also vied for attention.Spanish police identified the two Palestinians who were involved in the bombing. They had entered Spain carrying false passports a few days before the mass murder and had rented an apartment in the vicinity of Madrid. Another Palestinian, this one carrying a forged Moroccan passport, was arrested in the Frankfurt Airport in February with 25 pounds of explosive charges. He told investigators that he was transferring the explosives to Madrid where they would be used to attack American interests.- April 13, 1985: The Muslim Islamic Jihad paid the Marxist Action Directe to bomb an Israeli-owned bank in Paris.- April 17, 1985: Kurdish Islamic terrorists in Iraq kidnapped a Jordanian engineer to protest Jordan's support of the secular Iraqi government. The same day, Kurdish jihadists kidnapped two Japanese employees of NEC. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan released two of their three victims in September 1985 on "humanitarian grounds.".- April 19, 1985: An Israeli cab driver was murdered by unemployed Palestinian Muslims as he tried to earn a living in Jerusalem.- April 20, 1985: A truck packed with 2,200 pounds of TNT was deployed in an Islamic suicide operation against an Israeli convoy between Sidon and Tyre. All Jewish personnel, estimated to be 120 strong, were either killed or wounded in the hellacious blast.- April 20, 1985: Al Fatah militants were intercepted by Israeli naval units before they reached the Israeli coast. The merchant ship carrying the PLO terrorist team was sunk by a missile boat after it fired on the Israeli vessel. It was estimated that at least 20 Fatah jihadists were drowned. The wannabe Muslim murderers were armed with a variety of weapons and munitions - all designed to facilitate suicide bombings, kidnappings, and multiple assassinations.- April 23, 1985: A bomb found on an Israeli bus in Tel Aviv was safely defused. At the time the Islamic OPEC regime in Algiers was meeting with the Palestine National Council with regard to funding the PLO's reign of terror.- April 23, 1985: Unger Aznavourian, an Albanian Christian was murdered by Turkish assassins while getting into his car in Beirut, Lebanon. The victim was a member of the Dashnagtsagan community.- April 25, 1985: An Israeli civilian was stabbed several times by a Palestinian Muslim as he walked through the market place in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip.- April 26, 1985: In Switzerland, two Muslim Arabs arrested immediately after their bomb attacks against Libyan Airlines offices and a Syrian diplomat. They admitted to having tried to kill another Syrian diplomat by bombing his car. The IED was found and defused.- April 28, 1985: A rocket-propelled grenade was fired from Jordanian territory at an Israeli patrol, injuring one person.- April 30, 1985: Palestinian Muslims threw a hand grenade into an Israeli office in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv. One person was wounded.- April 30, 1985: Palestinian Fedayeen terrorists used incendiary grenades to attack a civilian bus in Israel. The vehicle was destroyed and the driver was burned.
- May 1, 1985: Islamic warlords in Pakistan, often called "tribal leaders," kidnapped an Australian employee of the U.N. and his wife. The couple, who were assisting the Pakistanis with irrigation and water treatment facilities, was later jailed for seven months in Afghanistan where the authorities considered them counterrevolutionaries and forced them to read Communist materials.- May 1, 1985: In Kuwait, the Arab Revolutionary Brigades, an Abu Nidal brand, attempted to assassinate the senior editor of a leading newspaper. The man was shot by jihadists wielding sub-machine guns. An Abu Nidal spokesperson in Paris stated the attempted assassination was necessary because "the editor was an agent of the American CIA and a Zionist sympathizer." Actually, Abu Nidal was forced out of his leadership positions with Fatah and the PLO in the Sudan and Iraq following the $12 million extortion plot he perpetrated against the Kuwaiti Emirs. The terrorist entrepreneur had harbored ill feelings against the OPEC regime ever since.- May, 1985: The "Battle of the Cities" claimed heavy civilian casualties in the Iraq-Iran War. This was after a "Civilian Target Truce" had been agreed upon by both parties just eight months earlier. The Qur'an tells Muslims that treaties between Muslims and non-Muslims are not binding on the Muslims. But now, they can't even trust each other to behave in a civil fashion.- May 8, 1985: An Israeli gunboat patrolling off southern Lebanon opened fire on an inflatable boat heading toward the coast of Israel. The five camouflaged terrorists riding inside were killed. These jihadists must have thought they belonged to a real army unit as even their dinghy was painted in camouflaged markings. This vessel contained a small arsenal of weapons and Arabic reading materials similar to those found on the other terrorist boat sunk in April.- May 8, 1985: Molotov cocktails were used to firebomb American firms in Spain. Islamic groups tied to the PLO's Black_September would ultimately be convicted of the crimes.- May 13, 1985: Aidan Walsh of Ireland, a senior U.N. relief official, was kidnapped by eight heavily armed Muslim men wearing combat fatigues in an ambush. The U.N. agent was released 36 hours later.- May 19, 1985: In Saudi Arabia, two IEDs exploded within minutes of each other on Riyadh city streets. One person was killed and three were injured. Iran's Palestinian terror association, Islamic Jihad, took credit, saying that they were "opening their campaign to bring down the Saudi monarchy.".However, the Iraqis said that the two explosions in Riyadh were planted by the them to coincide with Prince Saud al-Faisal's visit to Tehran. Iraq was alarmed by the potential of a defense pact between the rival OPEC states and wanted to deter the alliance between the Sunni warlords and Shia mullahs.- May 25, 1985: An Islamic suicide bomber in Kuwait drove a car wired with explosives into the motorcade of the ruling Emir (religious commander or warlord) of Kuwait. Sadly, the Emir escaped with only minor injuries. Four people traveling with him were killed and twelve were injured. The suicide bomber was identified as an Iraqi member of the religious Shia Al-Dawa (Islamic Call Party). Al Dawa had become a significant supplier of Islamic Jihad suicide bombers, including those who participated in the December 1983 truck and car-bomb attacks against U.S., French, and Kuwaiti installations.More recently, the Shiite al Dawa party was encapsulated into the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq, better known as the Iraqi government following the U.S.-facilitated fall of the secular regime.- May 25, 1985: Islamic Jihad kidnapped five westerners in Lebanon including, American hospital Administrator, David Jacobsen. Members of Allah's Party (Hizballah) tortured Jacobsen, Anderson, Weir, Sutherland, and Jenco.Hizballah now controls Lebanon. Allah's Party is offered sanctuary in Syria, and is funded by the OPEC-dependant Islamic clerics in Iran.- May 26, 1985: In Romania, a Syrian student in Bucharest was the target of an assassination attempt. The bomb placed in his car exploded, killing two bomb squad officers.- May 26, 1985: Michel Seurat, an "Arab researcher" who had just arrived from Paris, was kidnapped in Beirut, Lebanon. While that would have given the "researcher" an up close and personal experience with Arab Muslims, it wouldn't help. In March 1986, pictures showing Seurat's body were released by Islamic Jihad. Frenchman's were never found.- May 26, 1985: French journalist Jean-Paul Kauffman was abducted immediately after arriving in Lebanon from Paris. Kauffman was released, along with Marcel Carton and Marcel Fontaine, on May 4, 1988, after more than three years in captivity. French officials never said what concessions they made to free these victims of Islam.- May 27, 1985: In HizballahVille, a.k.a., Iran West, formally known as Lebanon, British professor Dennis Hill was abducted from the American University by Islamic Jihad. His body was found with four bullet holes in the back of his neck.- May 28, 1985: In Lebanon, Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for kidnapping the American director of the American University Medical Center. Six Shia gunmen fired at the feet of a second doctor walking with David Jacobsen, who then went with his abductors to save his companion. After seventeen months in captivity, Jacobsen was released on November 2nd, 1986. While details of his release are not well known, the Reagan administration was criticized for its clandestine plan to sell arms to Iran as part of their negotiations for the release of American hostages. The funds from these sales were later channeled to fund the Contras in their quest to fight Marxism in Central America.- May 28, 1985: In Israel, Muslims detonated a bomb in the center of Afula. Fortunately, no one was killed.- May 29, 1985: In Morocco, a car belonging to a Syrian diplomat exploded in front of the Syrian Ambassador's home.- May 30, 1985: A bomb exploded near the central bus station in Afula, Israel.
- June 3, 1985: The terrorist bombing of a Geneva railway station was claimed by a Palestinian group calling itself the "Martyrs of Tell Al-Zaltar." The same day in Switzerland, explosives were found in toilets at Geneva's Cointrin Airport. The discovery was made after a caller who had claimed credit for the bombing of the railway station, also claimed credit for bombing the airport. Two Palestinians were arrested in connection with these attacks against targets unrelated to their plight. The simple truth is that the so-called Palestinians were hated by most everyone because they were murderous. Egypt hated them when they controlled Gaza and only used them because they hated Jews more. Jordan despised the Palestinians sufficiently to kill tens of thousands of them in Black_September 1970 after these same Palestinians had tried to assassinate the Jordanian monarch. That attack led to the forced exile of Palestinians from Jordan into Lebanon where they wasted no time turning a good nation bad. After these Palestinians assassinated Lebanon's freely elected Christian Phalangist president in the summer of 1976, the Lebanese had their fill of them too and attacked the PLO stronghold of Tell Al-Zaltar in East Beirut. And that is why the terrorists called themselves the "Martyrs of Tell Al-Zaltar.".- June 3, 1985: A bomb was discovered in a suitcase in a bathroom at the Hilton Hotel in Rome. The room had been occupied by a man with a Lebanese passport. Officials believed it was meant for two men working at the Snia chemical plant in central Italy. The Islamic Mujahideen group claimed the Snia factory produced toxic gas for Iraq's to use in its war with Iran. Not knowing they had failed, their representatives telephoned several Italian newspapers claiming the officials had been executed. Police speculated that an attempt was made to use the bomb but when it failed to explode, it was discarded in the room.- June 3, 1985: A bomb left in a bag outside of the Syrian Embassy in London was safely deactivated.- June 5, 1985: An assassination attempt was made against a Palestinian in Athens. Mustafa Ali Mustafa, the intended victim, had been the driver of another Palestinian who was assassinated in Hallenikon in 1983. Mustafa had been seriously injured in that attack, as he was in this one. Authorities believed the two cases were related to the ongoing turmoil within the PLO.- June 7, 1985: Two Shi'ite Hizballah (Party of Allah) terrorists operating out of Greece hijacked a TWA Boeing 727 en route from Athens to Rome with over 100 Americans on board. Flight 847 with a total of 145 passengers and eight crewmembers was forced to make several stops, including two in the terrorist safe haven of Algiers, Algeria before finally landing in Beirut, Lebanon. It was there where U.S. navy diver Robert Stetham was shot and killed. While all but 41 of the hostages were released, the rest were taken to undisclosed locations in Beirut. By this time, the ruins of Lebanon were controlled by Iran through their religious proxy Hizballah. The remaining victims, 39 of whom were Americans, were finally released in Damascus, Syria on June 30th following the mediation of Shi'ite AMAL leader Nabih Berri with the Syrian government. That in itself was troubling because it confirmed that the largest and most popular Shia organization in Lebanon, the terrorist organization AMAL, was working through the Ba'athist Syrian regime to negotiate the release of captives held by Iran's Shia Hizballah in the capital of somewhat secular Syria. It was a wicked web demonstrating the ties between Iran, Syria, and Lebanon as well as the relationships between Islamic governments and terrorism. While Syrian President Assad claimed to be a Ba'athist, and to administrate a secular government, the dictator was ever willing to support Shiite religious activity so long as OPEC's coffers were open to support his ruthless dictatorship. The Islamic hijackers included in their demands the release of fellow Shia terrorists being held in Kuwait in connection with the December 1983 bombings of the U.S. and French Embassies. They also wanted two Lebanese Muslims freed who were being held by Spain for the murder of a Libyan diplomat in Madrid last September. But central to their demand was the release of 766 convicted Shi'ite Hizballah terrorists being held in Israel. It was on this point that America capitulated. Negotiating on behalf of the terrorists who had murdered three hundred U.S. Marines in Beirut, Ronald Reagan forced Israel to release 435 convicted Hizballah terrorists as ransom. Then on October 17th, 1985, the Ronald Reagan's Department of Justice offered a $250,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the three men believed responsible for the hijacking and murder. It was as if the U.S. government thought that a few men and not their religion was responsible. "Get the bad guys and the problem will go away." It was the same flawed rationale that led America into the disasters that befell the nation in Afghanistan and Iraq.In February 1988, Fawaz Younis, the leader of the Iranian/Hizballah/Islamic Jihad hijacking of a Jordanian airliner in Beirut and also this TWA hijacking in Greece, was brought to trial on charges of air piracy and the seizure of hostages. Unlike Robert Stetham, the American he killed, Younis received a thirty-year prison sentence. And as one might expect, Shiite Muslims threatened more attacks against U.S. interests if Younis was not freed. After all, in Islam where all things immoral are moral, the jihadist was a hero. The reason the murderer wasn't convicted of murder was that a U.S. District Judge ruled that Younis could be charged with leading the hijacking, but that he could not be prosecuted for allegedly assaulting passengers, murdering one, or of blowing up the jet.During his trial, Younis claimed that Lebanese Justice Minister Nabih Berri approved the hijacking. The Shia Muslim became the first "person" convicted of criminal charges under provisions of a 1984 law that made holding Americans hostage anywhere in the world a crime.Younis was paroled in 1996.Also related to this event, in May 1989, another Iranian militant, Muhammad Ali Hammadi, was sentenced to life imprisonment in Frankfurt on charges stemming from the same airborne kidnapping, extortion, and murder mission. He and his brother have also been released from German jails.- June 7, 1985: Shia AMAL terrorists kidnapped the Austrian Ambassador in Beirut. Since he wasn't an American, Jew, Jordanian, Frenchman, Saudi Arabian, Kuwaiti, or Libyan, he was released within 24 hours. The same day, AMAL jihadists kidnapped a Canadian UN official in Beirut. He was also released within 24 hours.- June, 1985: Iran began to use hit-and-run guerilla raids against Iraq. Casualties were now in the millions as Sunni and Shia Muslims devastated one another. It was as preview of the upcoming Iraqi civil war.- June 9, 1985: Thomas Sutherland, an American professor, was kidnapped in Beirut, Lebanon. He was held hostage by Muslims for more than five years. Allah's Party was to blame. And thanks to the bumbling of George W. Bush, the Shia Muslims who perpetrated this crime and so many others like it, have been the keys to Iraq and the crude beneath its sands.- June 10, 1985: Lebanese Muslims raided the offices of Air France in Beirut. The next day, the same building was hit by a rocket.- June 11, 1985: In Lebanon today, a rocket was fired at the building housing the offices of Saudi businessman, Rafiq al-Hariri.- June 11, 1985: A Jordanian flight to Amman was hijacked by Shiite Muslims to Cyprus, then to Sicily, and finally back to Beirut. The hijackers destroyed the Boeing 727 and escaped into the pro-Islamic nation. What was interesting about this was that the Lebanese Shia terrorists were demanding the expulsion of Palestinian Muslims from Lebanon. Fatah and the PLO had worn out another welcome.
- June 12, 1985: A terrorist bomb exploded at a bus station in Jerusalem. Islam was responsible.- June 12, 1985: In Cyprus, allegedly in retaliation for the Shi'ite hijacking of the Jordanian airliner, a Palestinian hijacked a Lebanese Boeing 707 sometime after it landed in Larnaca on a flight from Beirut. All of the passengers had disembarked before the procrastinating Palestinian terrorist began threatening the three-man crew with what appeared to be a grenade. Authorities granted his request to be flown to Amman, Jordan.- June 13, 1985: The Norwegian National-Socialist (a.k.a., neo-Nazi) Front claimed responsibility for bombing a mosque in Oslo. No one was injured at the European home of the Ahmadiya sect, a branch of Sunni Muslims. The mosque was built in 1980 and was used by Pakistanis. If these goons had read their history, or their dogma's founding papers, they would have known that Islam and Nazism were so similar, Muslims and Nazis were allies, not foes.- June 15, 1985: East German authorities foiled a plot by two Muslim men carrying diplomatic passports from a Middle Eastern country to hijack a U.S. airliner in West Berlin. The mission was designed further the demands articulated by the hijackers of the TWA jetliner. More than 40 others, including one American, were injured by the blast. The bomb was placed in a trash container inside the waiting area serving the check-in counters of Lufthansa, Olympic, Alitalia and Iran Air. The attack was claimed by several groups, including the Peace Conquerors and the Arab Revolutionary Organization - an Abu Nidal enterprise.A week after the Frankfurt attack, the "Peace Conquerors" claimed responsibility for the June 23rd bombing of an Air India jet off the coast of Ireland. That attack killed over 300 people. The Peace Conquerors said it was in a response to "global pollution" and that they "did not care if innocents were killed.".Although bombing seemed to confirm the group's earlier promise to destroy a jet before the end of the month, Sikh terrorists, and not the Peace Conquerors, were responsible. Furthermore, the Frankfurt bombing was shown to be the work of the Revolutionary Arab Organization, a front-name for Abu Nidal and his mercenary terrorists for hire. The militant environmentalist were trumped by religious whackos.- June 20, 1985: In El Salvador, the Marxist Central American Workers' Revolutionary Party claimed responsibility for a machinegun attack on a sidewalk cafe in San Salvador which killed 13, including four U.S. Marine Embassy guards and two American businessmen. Ten militants dressed in military attire attacked the cafe, leaving a letter indicating that their primary target had been the Marines. In 1988, a military appeals court ordered the three Marxist murderers guilty of these murders freed under El Salvador's sweeping amnesty law that was adopted to conform with a regional peace plan. A report in May 1997 indicated that one of the men accused of the attack was living in the United States.- June 23, 1985: A Jewish couple was killed near Beit Shemesh. The two Palestinian terrorists who perpetrated this crime admitted to having killed the couple under orders given by Fatah chairman Yasser Arafat.- June 23, 1985: A bomb was detonated on an Air India Boeing 747 with 329 people aboard as it crossed the Atlantic, killing everyone. The Montreal to London flight exploded in mid-air off the Irish coast. The bombing was claimed by the Sikh Dashmesh Regiment. In July 1992, police arrested Manjit Singh as he arrived in Bombay because he was believed to have provided the suitcase bomb which brought down this airliner. However, the same man was alleged to have checked a baggage bomb onto a Canadian Pacific Airlines flight which ignited in Tokyo, Japan, killing two airport workers and injuring four others. Aviation specialists raised the possibility that the CPA jet could have carried a time bomb meant to destroy it in flight, but that the bomb had gone off too late. The names of two Sikhs wanted by the FBI in the U.S. in connection with a plot to assassinate India's Prime Minister Gandhi during his recent state visit were found on the manifest of the Canadian Pacific aircraft. The Dashmesh Regiment was a Sikh terrorist organization founded by Saint Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, a religious guru who died in a 1984 army raid on the Sikh Golden Temple of Amritsar. In November 1985, two Sikhs were arrested after authorities linked one of them to the purchase of a stereo component which was used in the Tokyo bomb. A Sikh electrician was also convicted of manslaughter in connection with this incident.- June 24, 1985: A bomb exploded near a bus stop in the northern part of Jerusalem, injuring an eight-year-old boy. The PLO claimed responsibility.- June 27, 1985: Alfred Yaghobzadeh, an Iranian who was working for a French photo agency, was kidnapped near his hotel in West Beirut by members of Hizballah. - July 1, 1985: Abu Nidal's Palestinian terrorists bombed a British Airways ticket office in Madrid, Spain killing one woman and injuring 27 - including an American tourist. A TWA office was also destroyed by these Muslim militant mercenaries. The bombings were said to be in retaliation against President Reagan's idle threat the previous day to strike against terrorism. The Organization of the Oppressed, which was part of the Revolutionary Organization of Socialist Muslims, an Abu Nidal affiliate, claimed responsibility. Sabri l-Banna, a.k.a. the Father of Jihad, founded the Abu Nidal Group after he had been expelled from the PLO following an extortion attempt against Kuwait - a chief PLO benefactor. After serving the Syrians and Libyans and blowing up countless civilian targets including airplanes, Abu Nidal was killed in Baghdad, Iraq in August of 2002. While death was been labeled a suicide by the Iraqi authorities; the score of bullet wounds suggest he was assassinated by Iraqi intelligence agents.- July 1, 1985: A bomb hidden in luggage bound for India exploded in the international terminal of Rome's airport, injuring fifteen baggage handlers. A second bomb at the site was safely defused.- July 10, 1985: A German journalist was kidnapped in West Beirut. The same day, Muslims abducted two Polish journalists in the same place. Islam has always been opposed to free speech and has become an enemy of a free press.- July 11, 1985: A bomb exploded outside an Ashkelon hotel. The PLO claimed credit for the crime.- July 11, 1985: In Kuwait, Muslims deployed two massive bombs in popular Kuwait City cafes, leaving 11 people dead and 89 wounded. Abu Nidal's Arab Revolutionary Brigades claimed credit for the murderous deed. In that the Father of Jihad was a terrorist for hire, this bombing was sponsored by either Libya or Syria.- July 13, 1985: In Beirut, Lebanon, the Kuwaiti Embassy's press attaché was kidnapped at gunpoint. He was released a month later. Islamic Jihad is complicit in the crime.- July 14, 1985: The Pan Am office in Pakistan was bombed once again by militant Muslims.- July 17, 1985: The PLO's leader in Cyprus, Malath Abdo, escaped before a bomb destroyed his home in a Nicosia suburb.- July 21, 1985: The Arab Revolutionary Brigades claimed responsibility for the bombing of the Kuwaiti Airlines office in Beirut, destroying the building.- July 22, 1985: A bomb exploded in Scandinavia's oldest surviving synagogue. The terrorist spokesman added that his "organization will reach the core of the USA, USSR, France, UK, and also the Arab states which serve as puppets of the west." Allah's Party was an equal opportunity hater.- July 24, 1985: In Turkey, Jordanian envoy Ziyad Sati was shot three times in the head in Ankara. A Black_September spokesman said that Sati was killed because of his "services to imperialism.".In October of 1986, six confessed members of an Abu Nidal terrorist cell were arrested and held responsible for the assassination. Three Israeli soldiers were injured. The suicide bomber was just 13-years old. The Syrian Social Nationalist Party claimed credit for having corrupted the child. The Syrian Social Nationalist Party was founded in the early 1930s by Antun Sa'adeh, a Greek Orthodox Syrian. His ambition was to create a "Greater Syria" encompassing Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Israel into a single fascist state. The SSNP called for separation of church and state, the redistribution of wealth, state controls on labor, and the establishment of a strong army for the "destiny of the nation and the homeland.".Sa'adeh admitted that he had chosen a "clandestine format for the party to shield it from the onslaught of the various factions in society," making the SSNP similar to the National Socialist German Worker's Party, and their SS. Orthodox Christianity, Catholicism, Nazism, and Islam are remarkably similar doctrines at their core which is what made the SSNP possible.Between 1949 and 1961, the SSNP attempted two coups and successfully assassinated Syrian Prime Minister Riyad al-Sulh. As a result, almost 3,000 members were imprisoned. During their incarceration, many of the group's members were exposed to Marxist Muslim ideologies, shifting the group's ideology toward that of the PFLP and PLO. Many joined the Palestine Liberation Organization and fought during the Lebanese Civil War.The SSNP no longer operates as a terrorist organization because its ideology has fallen out of favor in the fundamentalist Islamic Middle East.

Shahverdi had been a leader in the Iranian national resistance movement directed from Paris by the shah's former prime minister, Shapur Bakhtiar. Turkish authorities claimed that Shahverdi was involved in planning an attack on Iran's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeyni.Others say that Shahverdi had been a double agent, working under cover in Turkey on behalf of the Iranian clerics. They seized documents which proved that Libya was using OPEC funds to support the PLO's reign of terror against Shia Muslims in Lebanon. Sunni Palestinians associated with the PLO, Fatah, and Arafat were using Libyan weapons to kill AMAL, Hizballah, and Islamic Jihad members.During the raid, the Shia terrorists searched a number of homes in the area trying to find the pro-Arafat Palestinian official known as Abu Ayman. The notion that there will be harmony in the Muslim world once Palestinians are given Israel is a bigger myth than the one which led to World War II - that of satiating the Nazis by giving them the high ground of Czechoslovakia. Even if Muslims controlled the entire world they would be uncivil - warring with one another for control. Such is the history of Islam from its inception through the fall of the Ottoman Empire.- August 27, 1985: A group of PLO terrorists sailing in a yacht from Lebanon to Israel were captured by the Israeli navy. The aquatic jihadists were members of Al Fatah. Based upon their armaments, reading material, and testimony, they planned to terrorize Jews in Galilee.- August 28, 1985: A bomb exploded outside the offices for El Al in Istanbul, Turkey. The Muslim proudly admitted to being a member of Black_September and said he had been in Athens for about 20 days under orders from Fatah.- August 30, 1985: Mustafa Kassem Kalifah, a high-ranking Palestinian terrorist leader, was assassinated in the Ein el Hilwa refugee camp in Lebanon. It was the second killing in five days of a prominent PLO member. Khalifah was loyal to Yasser Arafat, something that made him very unpopular with Lebanese Shi'ites. However, it might be unfair to blame Islamic Jihad, Hizballah, or AMAL because Arafat had many Palestinian antagonists as a result of the feuding between the PLO's Syrian, Iranian, Libyan, Kuwaiti, and Saudi-backed factions.A statement issued by Arafat's Fatah said Khalifah was assassinated by "one of the agents of Americans and Zionists in...a plot aiming at creating conflict." Delusions are common among Muslims.

A woman telephoned a Greek newspaper to claim credit for the assault in the name of Black_September.- September 4, 1985: A bomb exploded outside the Algerian Embassy in Beirut. A group calling itself the "Islamic Jihad of Shaykh Sadiq al Mundhiri" claimed responsibility for the attack. No spies were harmed in the attack. In August 1986 it was determined that Ahmad Ali Hassan Abu Saraya, a 28-year-old Palestinian Muslim had thrown the grenade. Saraya is a member of the "Palestinian Martyrs" organization financed by Syrian and led by Abu Nidal.- September 17, 1985: Another Islamic suicide bomber crashed an explosives-filled car into a group of South Lebanon Army militia, killing the driver and wounding 30. The attack took place five miles northwest of the border.- September 18, 1985: The Jordanian publisher of an Arabic weekly which was known to promote Sunni Islamic terrorism, was assassinated by an unidentified gunman in central Athens. He was the tenth Arab murdered in the Greek capital since 1978 in what was believed to be Islamic infighting. The victim was close to Yasser Arafat. While Black_September claimed responsibility for the attack it must be remembered that Abu Nidal was a Black_September operative during the days he served as a Fatah and PLO diplomat in the Sudan and in Iraq. He may have been reliving old times.- September 19, 1985: In Israel, an incendiary device was thrown into a crowd of Jewish civilians waiting at a bus stop on Mt. Zion. A Libyan militant carrying a diplomatic passport had entered Tunisia with several packages, leaving them at the Libyan General Commission in Tunis. The sides of the cards, however, were connected by a thin wire which were in turn attached to small cadmium watch batteries and explosive materials.- September 25, 1985: Three members of the PLO's Force-17 seized an Israeli yacht on Yom Kippur. They demanded the release of 20 Palestinian terrorists held in Israel and offered to exchange them for the three Israelis on board the pirated vessel. In typical Islamic fashion, they accused their hostages of being Israeli spies. And following Muhammad's example, they murdered all three Jews in cold blood before surrendering to police.Israel retaliated with an air attack on Tunisia, the current base of PLO operations now that Arafat had been booted out of Lebanon. Muslims alleged that 70 people were killed in the raid on the PLO headquarters. Unable to connect this event to the reign of terror that proceeded it, incapable of appreciating the difference between instigation and response, and unmindful of the difference between the targets, the thoughtless and immoral people the world over condemned the Jews, not the Palestians.- September 25, 1985: Demonstrating that it doesn't take long for Islam to corrupt, a 16-year old Palestinian youth tossed a bag packed with explosives into a British Airways office, wounding 14 people. The young jihadist, who was caught while trying to flee, said that he belonged to the Revolutionary Organization of Socialist Muslims. The same Abu Nidal gang claimed responsibility for a grenade attack against the Cafe de Paris a week earlier.- September 25, 1985: Jealous of the attention the PLO was getting for their recent bombing campaign, and recognizing that Muslims must terrorize to attract jihadists, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) bombed a bus station near the Hadassah hospital on Mt. Scopus. One person was injured by glass shards. To be fair, however, the DFLP is nothing it claims to be. They are dictatorial and totalitarian and not democratic. They are a minority faction struggling in the rear guard of terrorist militias. Islam means submission which is the antithesis of liberation. And there is no place called Palestine - it is little more than a marketing myth.- September 26, 1985: A bomb exploded at a bus stop near Gilo, Jerusalem. Seven Israelis were wounded in this demonstration of Islam's anti-Semitic nature.- September 26, 1985: Two British women, one a teacher at the American University of Beirut and the other, a Beirut restaurateur, were kidnapped by Hizballah.- September 27, 1985: An Iranian exile was killed when Pakistani Muslims lacerated his body with submachine gun fire. The statement from the alleged perpetrators was similar to those released in mid-1984. The Iranian OPEC Hizballah beneficiary claimed that "the Islamic nation hit the face of the Great Satan (USA)." They announced: "We have successfully completed the second stage of the mining." In this case, the Islamic Jihad brand did nothing to hide the real perpetrator, Shia Islam and the government of Iran.- September 29, 1985: Two bombs exploded simultaneously in Haifa, Israel, wounding five people. The PLO admitted that they had planned and executed the attack because their immoral religion made them proud of what they had done.- September 30, 1985: Two incendiary devices were tossed into a Jerusalem restaurant by members of the PLO.- September 30, 1985: Four Soviet diplomats were kidnapped at gunpoint in Islamic West Beirut. Armed jihadists dragged the four Russians from their cars and fired bullets at their feet to illicit their cooperation. The Islamic Liberation Organization said that all four men would be executed unless Moscow brought pressure on its Syrian ally to halt the "annihilation of Muslims in Tripoli with Soviet tanks and artillery guns." That was an interesting request because the Syrian army was 100% Islamic and at this time, the overwhelming preponderance of weaponry being deployed by Muslims against Jews was Soviet.Of the thirty-nine foreign diplomats, educators, and aid workers who had been kidnapped recently in Beirut, fourteen (six Americans, three Brits, four French and an Italian) were still missing. As for the fate of these men, one of the Soviets was murdered on October 2nd. The other three were released on October 30th after a Soviet KGB unit in Lebanon said that they would "review the case of the missing Soviet diplomats and to determine the feasibility of mounting a military operation to free them if they were located." Turns out they did more than study the possibilities. Sometime after receiving a demonstrative note from the KGB team, the Islamic Liberation Organization released a statement saying that the Soviets "would be released as a goodwill gesture.".The Islamic Liberation Organization was dominated by Sunni Moslems who had been losing territory and influence to Syrian-backed militias and to Iranian-backed Hizballah. The religious gang considered Marxists, Shias, and Jews as opponents and the U.S. and Israel its primary enemies.Based in Egypt, the Islamic Liberation Organization was a Salafist Sunni terrorist group that emerged from the Muslim Brotherhood in the aftermath of Islam loosing the Six Day War in 1967. Their mission was to overthrow Arab regimes that ruled without sufficient adherence to the teachings of Islam. They derived this objective from a plain reading of the Quran and an understanding of Muhammad's words and deeds as they were retained in the Sira/Biography, Ta'rikh/History, Sunnah/Example, and Hadith/Oral Reports from the first Muslims. This pure, accurate, scriptural, and uncorrupted interpretation of Islam was articulated by the Muslim Brotherhood and their spiritual leader, Sayyid Qutb. His Under the Shade of the Qur'an, and Signposts Along the Way serve as religious commentaries on the oldest Islamic sources. Based upon the prophet's example and the Qur'an's orders, the Qutb and the Muslim Brotherhood declared jihad (holy war) on all secular, non-Islamic governments by emphasizing the concept of jahiliyya, which asserts that all regimes which ignore "guidance from Allah" should be forcibly ousted. In essence, they conveyed Muhammad's message: Good Muslims must fight and kill any Muslim who is insufficiently committed to jihad or who supports the exercise of free will in religion or politics. The Islamic Liberation Organization was mostly composed of college students or recent graduates, and the median age of its membership was 22. Today, ILO members have been absorbed into other Salafist groups such as HAMAS and al-Qaeda as the region has gradually succumbed to the rising tide of fundamentalist Islam.- September 30, 1985: The Norwegian Embassy in Beirut was attacked by militant Muslims. Two people were abducted by adherents of the misguided religion.- September 30, 1985: In the Netherlands, the Fatah Revolutionary Council, an Abu Nidal brand, claimed responsibility for bombing the offices of the Israeli El Al Airlines in Amsterdam.
- October 1, 1985: Two Israeli sailors were murdered in Spain by Yasser Arafat's personal militants. Their badly decomposed bodies were found in a Barcelona apartment after an anonymous telephone call. The assassinations were claimed by Force 17, an elite PLO unit that reported directly to Arafat and which served as his bodyguards. Spanish police arrested two Palestinian militants in connection with the murders.- October 2, 1985: A powerful bomb exploded in front of a Jewish kindergarten in Argentina. The PLO was active in South America due to the support it received from the anti-Semitic Catholic Church.- October 2, 1985: The director of the Bulgarian-Lebanese friendship society was assassinated in West Beirut.- October 2, 1985: A dozen Lebanese Sunni militants were abducted by a KGB unit in retaliation for the kidnapping of the four Soviet hostages taken in Beirut three days earlier. One of the jihadists was killed, and the KGB reportedly sent the body back to the group's leader with a message saying, "Release our three hostages or we will shoot yours one by one." Muslims and Marxists have always been effective communicators because they speak the same language.- October 6, 1985: An Egyptian policeman went on a shooting rampage on a Sinai beach. He killed seven Israeli vacationers. The murderous Muslim also killed his Egyptian commander.Although labeled as "berserk" by Egyptian authorities, the AMAL terrorist was found to be a pro-Ayatollah Khomeini Shiite and Islamic fundamentalist. As a result, during his trial, Sulayman Khatir became a folk hero. Demonstrations erupted in Cairo and throughout Egypt in his support - amazing in itself in that Egypt is predominantly Sunni. But in Islam is a mass murderer of infidels celebrated and not condemned. On December 27th the military court sentenced their "berserk" Muslim to life imprisonment, leading to more demonstrations and riots. Unable to cope with the spontaneous outbreak of hero worship directed at Sulayman Khatir, on January 7th the Egyptian regime hung Islam's most celebrated celebrity in his cell and tried to make his death look like suicide. The government was condemned and Sulayman was hailed as a martyr by university students and other anti-Semitic Muslim demonstrators who accused the authorities of murdering him.- October 6, 1985: Muslims in Athens shot and wounded a Libyan businessman believed to be an opponent of Libyan leader Moamar Qadhafi. Youssef Akeila was shot in the chest and leg while standing outside his home.- October 6, 1985: The bodies of a young Israeli couple, Mordechai Suissa and Edna Harari, were found on a hillside near a Kibbutz a few miles southwest of Jerusalem. They had been shot first from a distance and then at point-blank range. The PLO's Force 17 claimed responsibility for the senseless act of terrorism.- October 6, 1985: Three miles from where the bodies of the young Israeli couple were found, authorities discovered the body of a another Jew, this one a farmer named Haim Falah. His murder also appeared to be an act of terrorism, and it was eventually linked with the assassination of the couple perpetrated by Force 17 - Yasser Arafat's personal killers.- October 7, 1985: Four Palestinian PLO terrorists, led by Muhammad Abbas, hijacked the Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro off Alexandria, Egypt. There were 700 passengers and crew on board who were taken hostage. For two days the ship sailed an erratic course around the Mediterranean. It was initially diverted to Tartus, where the terrorists had hoped to seek asylum from the Syrian government. Less than enthusiastic about earning the ire of the West or solving the problem, Assad refused them. It was then, while off the Syrian port of Tartus, that the Palestinian terrorists shot and killed an elderly wheelchair-bound American, Leon Klinghoffer.Blood dripping from their cowardly hands (Klinghoffer was an invalid and they shot him in the head at pointblank range before tossing his lifeless body into the sea), the Islamic jihadists forced the captain to sail toward Cyprus. Unwelcome there, the Palestinians returned to Egyptian waters. During the ordeal, American passengers were separated from the others and threatened with flammable liquids. The terrorists, who identified themselves as members of the Palestine Liberation Front, a PLO subsidiary, demanded the release of fellow jihadists around the world. Egypt and Italy negotiated the return of the ship and the remaining passengers by promising to provide a safe haven for the terrorists. Not pleased with this result, U.S. fighters intercepted an Egyptian jet carrying the four hijackers and the two Palestinians who had orchestrated the attack, and forced it down at a NATO base in Italy.Italy immediately released two of the terrorists under U.S. protest, although it was known that one of them, Muhammad Abbas Zaida (aka Abu Abbas), was actually the mastermind behind the act of Islamic piracy. In July 1986, an Italian court found Abu Abbas guilty and sentenced him in absentia to life in prison. Swell. Two of the hijackers were jailed "for life" for their part in organizing the hijacking. The remaining two members of the hijack team were sentenced to terms ranging from three months to 30 years. Klinghoffer's murderer, Youssef Magied al Molqi, received a life sentence but he disappeared while on leave from prison for good behavior. The others were paroled. After all, they had only killed a feeble old Jew.Abdul Rahim Khaled, who had been sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment by a Genoa court in 1987, was arrested March 1991. Abbas was captured in Baghdad in 2003 but died of natural causes the following year. Intelligence reports note that instructions to hijack and kill originated from Arafat's headquarters in Tunis.- October 7, 1985: Bombs exploded in the Libyan Airlines office in Athens and in the Libyan People's Bureau. A group calling itself the Libyan Organization of 7 April claimed credit for the attacks.- October 7, 1985: Abu Nidal claimed responsibility for a bomb which wounded 11 Israelis in a residential building in southwestern Jerusalem.- October 8, 1985: In Tunisia, five people were killed and two others were wounded when a security guard at a synagogue on the island of Jerba opened fire on Jewish worshipers. The attack came one week after Israeli jets destroyed the PLO headquarters in Tunis and three days after an Egyptian policeman shot seven Israeli tourists in Sinai in a similar incident. Libya's Radio Tripoli, which can be heard in Tunisia, had been making broadcasts inciting Tunisian Muslims to turn against Jews and murder them.- October 12, 1985: In Italy, a police dog detected a bomb in the false bottom of a suitcase carried by a man traveling on a Moroccan passport. The bomb, weighing seven pounds, was found in the luggage of man traveling to Rome's Leonardo da Vinci Airport from Baghdad, Iraq. The bomb was a mixture of lead and chemicals, making it five times more powerful than an equivalent amount of TNT.- October 15, 1985: A bomb exploded outside the Tunisian Embassy in Italy. The Tunisian Prime Minister, Muhammad Mzali, was on a two-day official visit to Italy. The meeting was planned to discuss the implications of the deteriorating relations between the United States and both Italy and the Muslim world since the U.S. forced down an Egyptian airliner carrying the PLO hijackers of the Achille Lauro cruise liner. Morality isn't popular in Islam and accountability isn't a Catholic virtue.- October 17, 1985: Six people were killed when an American-owned Christian radio station in Lebanon became the target of a terrorist raid. Guards surprised four terrorists who were setting charges to blow up the studio. A gun battle ensued and the explosives were detonated, killing the terrorists, a guard and a technician working inside the station. The four Islamic jihadists carried more than 200 pounds of high explosives to the site. The station, known as the Voice of Hope, was owned by High Adventures, a Christian missionary organization based in California. Calling their victims the "puppet Voice of Hope," the National Resistance Front murderers said that the four jihadists were Marxist Muslims. If there is one thing Muslims and Marxists can agree, it's that Christianity is their enemy. Its moral code is the antithesis of theirs.- October 24, 1985: A bomb exploded in the open-air market of Afula, in northern Israel. Five more innocent people were maimed by Muslims.- October 25, 1985: In Mozambique, two Portuguese Jesuit missionaries were kidnapped in by Marxist guerrillas from the National Resistance Movement. The Syrian National Social Party claimed responsibility and identified the bomber as a 24-year-old Syrian who left a will saying that Israel "is like a cancer that should be uprooted." The Qur'an's 8th surah says "Wipe the Infidels out to the last by cutting them off at the roots.".- November 8, 1985: At the same time the manager of Iraqi Airlines in Cyprus was killed by a car-bomb, the Nicosia office of the airlines was bombed. The Eagles of the Revolution (pseudonym for the Syrian al Sa'iqa terror club) said "the two bombings were to eliminate undercover Iraqi intelligence centers." They promised that more operations against Iraqi targets would follow.- November 11, 1985: The Palestinian Revolution Forces-General Command claimed responsibility for stabbing an Israeli youth in Jerusalem.- November 11, 1985: Egyptian authorities arrested four Libyans who were thwarted in their attempt to assassinate Libyan exiles, including a former Libyan Prime Minister. They said that they had successfully killed or wounded a number of passengers.- November 19, 1985: Muslims in Greece shot and killed an Egyptian employed by an import-export firm in Athens. The victim was assassinated on the street while walking with his wife and four children.- November 20, 1985: Two Swiss Red Cross workers were kidnapped in southern Lebanon.- November 20, 1985: In Jordan, jihadists affiliated with the Abu Nidal Group assassinated two Palestinians in Amman. They claimed that their victims were agents of Yasser Arafat. It was later discovered that the trio of murderers entered Jordan from Kuwait in mid-November. They had studied the habits of their victims before hunting them down.- November 23, 1985: An Egypt Air flight from Athens to Cairo was hijacked. Abu Nidal's Arab Revolutionary Command claimed responsibility. This Libyan and Syrian terrorist mercenary lived free in Iraq for 20 years following this crime until he was ultimately assassinated by Saddam Hussein. The story of flight 648 is gruesome, yet it boldly proclaims how Islam corrupts. The Egyptian jetliner was carrying more than 100 passengers and crew when it was hijacked by terrorists who identified themselves as members of Egypt's Revolution. Ten minutes out of Athens, the jihadists began frisking the passengers and collecting passports. During this time, one of the terrorists came across an Egyptian security guard who pulled out a gun and killed the hijacker. The guard was killed and the plane was depressurized in the ensuing gunfight. In an emergency decent, the jet was forced to land in Malta, but the airport, at the instruction of jelly-boned politicians, had turned the landing lights off. Nearly crashing, tension escalated once the plane was on the ground. Without any show of force from Malta, or any hope of taking off, the terrorists began systematically shooting passengers. An Israeli girl, selected by her passport, was the first to be taken to the plane's gangway and killed.Five minutes later, another Israeli girl was murdered. Shot in the head at pointblank range, her internal organs still functioned but she was essentially brain dead. Three Americans were selected for assassination next. One of them was killed but two of them survived their bullet wounds because the hijackers believed they were dead. After the Jews and Americans had been shot, an Egyptian anti-terrorist unit assault the plane, albeit poorly. Alerted to the attack, the terrorists detonated three grenades in the front and rear of the plane. They started raging fires and shot burning shrapnel into the passengers. Another 50 people were mutilated and burned alive. The four Muslim hijackers were also killed but they had relinquished the designation of "human" by their inhuman behavior. While the terrorists said that they were Egyptian Revolution jihadists, the bloody ordeal was later claimed by Palestinian working for Abu Nidal. Egypt accused the Libyan government of direct involvement in the attack because the OPECer Qadhafi had been the terrorist entrepreneur's biggest benefactor. One of the hijackers, Omar Muhammad Ali Rezaq, a Palestinian from Lebanon, survived his crime. He was convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison in Malta. However, the murderer of 55 innocent people was released after only seven years due to pressure from Libya. The scum found scum found sanctuary among Muslims in Ghana. But not for long, the FBI arrested Muhammad in Nigeria in July 1993.- November 24, 1985: A car bomb exploded in a crowded shopping center in Frankfurt,Germany (Federal Republic of) which catered to U.S. military personnel. Thirty seven people were injured. West German police said an Arab guerrilla organization may have been responsible. In December 1986, West German authorities named Iranian embassy employee Naser Daryaei as a firm suspect in the attack.
- December 7, 1985: In France, bombs exploded within minutes of each other in two adjacent department stores in Paris which were packed with Christmas shoppers. At least 35 people were wounded, eight seriously. The Palestine Liberation Front and Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility. In a phone call, the Palestinian spokesperson for the PLF said the bombing was against "the French-Iranian rapprochement." A French delegation was going to Tehran next week to try to improve relations. Witnesses said two Arab men fled in a car moments after the explosions.Palestine Liberation Front was established in 1959 as a splinter of the PFLP by Ahmad Jibril. But by 1968, it had been absorbed into Jibril's new Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command (PFLP-GC), after his split from the PFLP during its merger with the PLO.The PLF emerged as a separate entity again in 1977 when Muhammad Zaidan (Abu Abbas) broke away from the PFLP-GC. The group split once again in 1983, this time into pro-PLO and pro-Syrian factions. The Syrian camp underwent another division in 1984, which resulted in one camp moving to Libya for financial support. Each new splinter, however, retained the name Palestine Liberation Front and claimed to act for the group as a whole. The majority of the PLF's attacks against Israel were carried out from Southern Lebanon, but they attacked European targets and Christians as well. Abu Abbas's, OPEC supported, Tunisia-based, PLO-allied faction became the most well-known in 1985 with the hijacking of the Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro. The PLF continued to carry out attacks against Israelis through the 80s and 90s, often employing unique techniques such as hang gliders. After establishing this air force the PLF claimed a naval unit. The love affair between Abbas and Arafat faded after the signing of the 1993 Oslo Accords because the ill-fated plan empowered the PLO, not the PLF. While Arafat enriched himself to the tune of a billion dollars, he wasn't good at sharing. Abbas, who had traveled back to Gaza, fled in an Oslo-related amnesty program. He would go on to be a conduit of Iraqi OPEC funds to Palestinian suicide bombers.Abbas, who had moved back to Baghdad in 2000, actually denounced the 9-11 attacks on the US, claiming that the Palestinian struggle was separate from al-Qaeda's holy war. He was captured by U.S. Special Forces in April, 2003, and died in US custody in March, 2004, from natural causes.- December 7, 1985: Two Finnish soldiers were held hostage in Lebanon as a result of a terrorist bid to secure the release of two jihadists arrested during an attempted bank robbery a few hours earlier. The Finns were members of the U.N. peacekeeping force and were seized in the Shiite Muslim section of West Beirut by several AMAL gunmen.- December 8, 1985: Members of the Norwegian U.N. Interim Forces disrupted a suicide bombing. A Muslim man from the African Republic of Mali was attempting to drive a car bomb into Israelis in South Lebanon.- December 10, 1985: Five Islamic terrorists who had infiltrated Israel from Egypt were apprehended as they planted an explosive device near the Kings Hotel in Jerusalem. The five were recruited into the PLO in August and had been provided explosives, fuses, and detonators by Fatah.- December 12, 1985: In Malta, a bomb damaged the library of the Libyan Cultural Center.- December 12, 1985: A chartered DC-8 carrying 248 members of the 101st Airborne Division and 8 crewmembers crashed during takeoff from Newfoundland. The soldiers were going home after completing "peace-keeping" duties in the Middle East. All passengers and crew are killed. Muslim malfeasance was suspected.- December 19, 1985: A jihadist claiming to be a member of the Abu Nidal Group disarmed five court guards before entering a Nantes courtroom. He gave the collected guns and grenades to two defendants who were on trial. The Muslim militants took 30 three people hostage, including the judge and jury.Six hours later all but four of the hostages were released. The terrorists boarded a bus that had been commissioned to take them to the airport. But the gunman surrendered at the Nantes Airport and released the last of the hostages. The terrorists claimed that they "wanted to give the French government a slap in the face." They held up photos of the war in Lebanon and said that in two months "it will be over for the French in Lebanon.".- December 20, 1985: Hadi Aziz Murad, an Iranian colonel, was assassinated at his home in Istanbul, Turkey. Murad had been a supporter of the Shah. Agents from the Iranian National Intelligence and Security Organization (Savama) were responsible for murdering their rival.- December 22, 1985: The Palestinian Revolution Forces-General Command claimed that they had placed several bombs in a bus station in Erez, Israel. They were guilty because a huge fire resulted from the blasts.- December 25, 1985: The PLO claimed responsibility for bombing the central power station in Hadera, Israel. Power to the region was cut off and many employees at the power station were killed or wounded.- December 26, 1985: A bomb exploded outside a fast food restaurant near City Hall in Tel Aviv. One person was injured.- December 27, 1985: In Afghanistan, rebel rockets hit the Soviet Embassy and also hit a Soviet-built housing project in Kabul. It was the sixth anniversary of Moscow's intervention in Afghanistan - an invasion that had been instigated by Jimmy Carter and the United States.- December 27, 1985: Islamic terrorists attacked the check-in desks of Israeli and American air carriers in Rome and Vienna with grenades. They left 18 dead and 121 wounded. The Muslim militants were working for the Libyan government and were associated with Abu Nidal - Qadhafi's hit man. The ensuing investigation determined that Libya had been funneling OPEC revenues to Muslims willing to terrorize Christians and Jews.At the same time that the Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome was being attacked, three jihadists in Vienna were foiled in their attempt to board an El Al jet, although they had managed to take hostages. A guard engaged the Muslims as they rolled grenades across the floor near the El Al check-in counter. The jihadists retreated and seized a car outside Schwechat Airport. They led police on a chase before crashing. One terrorist was killed and two were wounded. The surviving terrorists said that they were members of the Abu Nidal Group and that they were operating out of Libya. The three were traveling on Tunisian passports. The Islamic terrorists had planned to attack the El Al area of the airport, seize hostages, hijack an Israeli plane, and blow it up over Tel Aviv. The shootout at the airport disrupted their deadly scheme although the gunfight and grenades resulted in the deaths of two bystanders and the wounding of 39 others.Meanwhile in Italy, four Islamic terrorists threw hand grenades and fired automatic rifles into a line of passengers waiting at the El Al check-in counter at the Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Sixteen people, including five Americans, were killed in the attack and 99 were injured. One of the terrorists survived and claimed to be a member of the Martyrs of Palestine. Abu Nidal got a life term in absentia for masterminding the massacre.- 1985: In the midst of all this Abu Nidal and Abu Abbas terror, let's not lose track of Carlos the Jackal, the former PFLP Marxist Muslim and his coconspirators. We pick up their trail on May 4, 1985, when Jackal's wife, Magdalena Kopp, was released from her French prison cell and whisked away to West Germany by agents who were determined to get her out of France as quickly as possible. Despite the campaign of terror that Carlos had waged to secure her release, she served all but one year of her original sentence, ultimately earning an early release for "good behavior.".Within hours of her arrival in Frankfurt, she received a phone call from Carlos and was met by one of her husband's accomplices who escorted her to Damascus, Syria. After meeting Kopp in Damascus, Carlos took her to his new hideout in Budapest. After several months the Hungarian government evicted them so Carlos sent Kopp back to Damascus while he flew to Baghdad. Anxious to secure a home base, Carlos sent one of his men to Tripoli to gauge the level of support there but was informed that Qadhafi had lost faith in him and his group and refused to offer support or asylum. Terrorism is a cutthroat business. Finally, Syrian dictatorial scum, President Assad, offered him protection in exchange for providing certain "services" to repay his hospitality. Once he was settled in Syria, Carlos took his pregnant wife on a trip to Prague. Traveling under false diplomatic passports, the couple entered Czechoslovakia with the intention of retrieving a large sum of money that Carlos had deposited in a local bank. Their plan was foiled when the Czech secret service learned of their presence and evicted them. They returned to Damascus where Carlos lived in semi-luxury under a new identity. The Jackal drank himself into a stupor, however, trying to drown what little conscience he had, and became a non-entity from the DST's, CIA's, and Mossad's perspective. He would have died in obscurity had it not been for the U.S. dredging up old records when America rescued Kuwait in their 1991 war with Iraq.
