Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade

"Al-Aqsa" means "The Farthest" and is used in Islam to refer to the farthest place Muhammad traveled from Mecca during his hallucinogenic trip on a winged ass (Baraq) during his Night's Journey (Ishra Miraj). That point being the Temple Mount in Jerusalem where the Dome of the Rock shrine and the Al-Aqsa Mosque now stand.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade is the militant wing of Fatah and the PLO.
