Students Islamic Movement of India is an Islamic fundamentalist terrorist organization which advocates the founding of an Islamic state in Hindu India. SIMI has been influenced by Deobandi Islam, a Sufi Muslim movement that started in India in 1879, shared by the Taliban government in Afghanistan. SIMI, along with almost all Muslim groups, professes Osama bin Laden to be a role model of a true Mujahid, who has undertaken Jihad on behalf of the 'ummah'. And again in lock-step with most Muslim groups, SIMI blames the 9/11 attacks on Israel's Mossad.

SIMI is anti-West, anti-Hindu, and anti-life. The Students Islamic Movement of India's founder, Dr. Muhammad Ahmadullah Siddiqi, wanted a student organization dedicated to the promotion of Islam through educational and violent means. SIMI is controlled by fundamentalist Indian Muslims.

As a direct result, the Students Islamic Movement of India openly advocates jihad to establish a worldwide caliphate to replace secular or non-Muslim governments everywhere on earth. SIMI has established links with larger Islamic terrorist groups such as Hezb-ul-Mujahideen and Lakshar-e-Taiba, as well as the Pakistani Secret Service, or ISI - the power and money behind the Taliban. Even worse, the ISI's leadership provided 9/11 mastermind and suicide bomber, Muhammad Atta, with funding in excess of $100,000.

As a testimony to how far political correctness has destroyed the ability for our educational institutions to be judgmental, destroying their ability to be moral and sensible, Dr. Mohammad Ahmadullah Siddiqi, after having founded this terrorist organization, was (and still may be) Professor of Journalism and Public Relations at Western Illinois University. For those who may think that Professor Siddiqi formed a quaint student group that was "hijacked by radicals," one small taste of his mindset was that he rallied SIMI protests against Yasser Arafat's visit to India. His motivation was not because Arafat was a ruthless murdering thug. Quite the opposite. His complaint was that he perceived this legendary terrorist to be a "western puppet." Dr. Siddiqi was upset to the point of organizing Muslims to take to the streets, because he thought Arafat had lost site of his murdering jihadist roots.
