The Salah al-Din Brigades are the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC). With regard to being fundamentalist Muslims and thus hating Jews, and being murderous terrorists, the Salah al-Din gang is like the terrorist organizations such as HAMAS and Hezballah. However, they differ from their Muslim brothers in that the PRC does not maintain both an armed organization and a separate network of social and political services.
The PRC continues to be an active terrorist force in Israel, where their main method of attack has been firing rockets from the Gaza Strip into towns in southern Israel and Jewish settlements inside Gaza. The group was implicated in the October 15th, 2003 attack that killed several of Americans in the Gaza Strip using a roadside bomb.
