"Jihad," "holy fighting," or "Allah's Cause," is spoken of in the Hadith as follows: "Allah's Apostle dictated the Divine Verse: 'Not equal are those unbelievers who sit at home and those who strive hard, fighting in the Cause of Allah with their wealth and lives.'" (Bukhari V4B52N85) . The Qur'an says, "Zaid said, 'Maktum came to the Prophet while he was reciting that verse. On that Maktum said, "O Allah's Apostle! If I had power, I would take part in Jihad." He was a blind man. So Allah sent down revelation to His Apostle ... "Except those who are disabled by injury or are blind or lame."'" (Qur'an 004:095) If jihad is a spiritual struggle as many claim it to be, then why would Allah grant the physically disabled an exemption? The verse goes on to say, "Not equal are those believers who sit at home and receive no injurious hurt, and those who strive hard [Jihad] fighting in the Cause of Allah, fighting with their wealth and bodies to those who sit (at home)."

Another Hadith says, "The Prophet said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is! Were it not for the believers who do not want me to leave them, I would certainly and always go forth in army-units setting out for Jihad. I would love to be martyred in Allah's Cause and then get resurrected and get martyred again only to be resurrected so that I could get martyred once more.'" (Bukhari V4B52N54)

Furthermore, in the "Book of Jihad," Bukhari provides us with this explanation: "Jihad is holy fighting in Allah's Cause with full force of weaponry. It is given the utmost importance in Islam and is one of its Pillars. By Jihad Islam is established, Allah is made superior and He becomes the only God who may be worshiped. By Jihad Islam is propagated and made superior. By abandoning Jihad (may Allah protect us from that) Islam is destroyed and Muslims fall into an inferior position. Their honor is lost, their lands are stolen, and Muslim rule and authority vanish. Jihad is an obligatory duty in Islam on every Muslim. He who tries to escape this duty, or does not fervently fulfill this obligation, dies as a hypocrite." The 150 Hadiths that follow this definition all speak of fighting; none suggest a spiritual struggle.

Excerpts from Prophet of Doom

From chapter 20, "The Tormented Terrorist":

Back in Medina, and in the presence of the prophet, the Emigrants weren't ready to let Abdallah Ubayy's outburst drop. They wanted blood. Tabari VIII:53 "Abdallah said, 'Those who are stronger will drive out the weaker from Medina.' But you, O Messenger of Allah, will drive him out if you wish. He is the weak one, and you are the strong one. Allah caused you to arrive at the moment when his people were stringing precious stones to make him a crown; he thinks that you deprived him of a kingdom.'" Ishaq:491 "Umar said, 'Tell someone to go kill him.' The Apostle answered, 'But what will men say about me if I start killing Muslims?'"

A young recruit must have rushed in: Tabari VIII:55/Ishaq:492 "'Messenger of Allah, I have been told that you want to kill Abdallah bin Ubayy. If you are going to do it; command me and I will bring you his head. I will kill a believer to avenge an unbeliever, and thereby enter the Fire of Hell.' The Prophet said, 'No.' Thus after that day it was his own tribesmen who censured him and threatened him. When word of how they were behaving reached Muhammad, he said to Umar, 'What do you think, Umar? Had I killed him the day you ordered me to, prominent men would have been upset, who, if I ordered them today to kill him, would do so.'" Muhammad was evil, not stupid.

Other than prostrating oneself in submission, paying the zakat, and fighting Jihad, Muslims have never had a way to determine who really was one. Even Muhammad couldn't tell. Tabari VIII:55 "Miqyas came from Mecca, pretending to have become a Muslim, and said, 'Muhammad, I have come to you as a Muslim to seek blood money for my brother who was killed by mistake.' The Prophet ordered him to be paid blood money for his brother and he stayed briefly with Muhammad. Then he attacked his brother's slayer, killing him. He left for Mecca as an apostate." According to Islam, an apostate endures hell's hottest flames. So it's okay to kill and good to accept booty for killing, but only if Allah is credited with the murder.

This Hadith is especially revealing: Ishaq:485 "'O Apostle, I will accept Islam and give you my allegiance on the condition that my past faults are forgiven and no mention is made of what has gone before.' Allah's Messenger said, 'Give your allegiance, for Islam does away with all that preceded it, as does the Hijrah [Muhammad's shameful flight from Mecca].'" Muhammad proudly announced, and Ishaq dutifully recorded, words that should send shivers up the spine of every non-Muslim. The "religion" of Islam, the feeble and demented doctrine that emerged before the terrorist raids, before piracy, kidnapping, the slave trade, and mass murder, was no more. All that preceded the Hijrah had been abrogated. All that remained of the poligious doctrine now was vice, villainy, and violence.

From chapter 23, "Jihad":

In his most pugnacious and inhuman utterance ever, the molested orphan orders Muslims to molest the world. Qur'an 5.33 "The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive after corruption, making mischief in the land [those who refuse to surrender to Islam] is murder, execution, crucifixion, the cutting off of hands and feet on opposite sides, or they should be imprisoned. That is their degradation and disgrace in this world. And a great torment of an awful doom awaits them in the hereafter."

Qur'an 5:33 is the most torturous verse ever issued in the name of religion. "Making mischief" - a war of words - is sufficient to warrant imprisonment, mutilation, assassination, and crucifixion. Those who reject Islam are to be humiliated and maimed - having their hands and feet cut off - so that they might be disgraced. And this is the last surah. These tortured words weren't abrogated. This is Muhammad's parting shot at the world that had tormented him. The 5th surah is Islam's legacy. And as a result, the Sudan, today's most fundamental Islamic nation, has murdered and mutilated two million Christians over the last fifteen years. Islam remains as Muhammad conceived it.

Muslim apologists argue that repentance prohibits these tortures and that Allah is, "Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful." Qur'an 5.34 "Except for those who repent (and become Muslims) before you overpower them and they fall into your control. In that case, know that Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. But consider the price. Consider the context. Repentance requires surrender to Islam, obedience to Muhammad, and the acceptance of his deity. That's why the King Fahd edition of The Noble Qur'an inserted the words "and become Muslims" inside the parenthesis. And capitulation only works if it's done prior to being "overpowered," or conquered by brute force. By ordering his followers to torture men, Allah became nothing more than a molesting thug. He became Muhammad.

Qur'an 5:33-34 provides a synopsis of Islam's message. Men are not persuaded into Islam; they are forced into submission. Allah began his final surah announcing he: "had chosen submission as man's religion." Now he is explaining the means he intends to use to impose his choice - terror! Execution, crucifixion, mutilation, and imprisonment are not intellectual or spiritual inducements.

This passage highlights why the real God hates religion. Evil men create perverse and deceitful doctrines to coerce capitulation - to excuse murder and mayhem. And they use religion to control men's lives so that cleric and king might prosper. All the while their coconspirator, Satan, uses religion to deceive mankind, separating us from our creator. The deception, death, and damnation of man is the Devil's life ambition.

Yahweh based his relationship with us on choice. We choose what to believe and in whom to trust. He recognized that love cannot be forced. Submission is the antithesis of the Scriptural message. One cannot love what one fears. (Biblically, the Hebrew " yare " means "revere" in reference to God, not fear.) Love cannot be seduced either, as a loving relationship is based upon open disclosure - truth, not deception. This is why Muhammad's cravings were never satisfied. In this regard, Yahweh and Allah could not be more different.

Qur'an 5.35 "Believers, fear Allah and seek the way to approach Him, striving hard [fighting Jihad] with all your might in His Cause [deception, death, and damnation] that you may be successful. As for the disbelievers [previously defined as Christians], if they had everything on earth, two times over, to give as ransom for the penalty of the Day of Doom, it would never be accepted from them. Theirs will be a painful torment. They will desire to get out of the fire, but they shall not be released from it. They shall have an everlasting punishment."

Thanks for the note. You are right. There is considerable dung on the site. After all, the book is dedicated to exposing what Muhammad did and what he said. So what part didn't you like-- Muhammad's orders regarding jihad, his terrorist raids, Allah's commands for Muslims to fight and kill all non-Muslims. Personally, I find every one of the 2000 Muhammad and Allah quotes repulsive. I am amazed that anyone trusts such a vile man or his demented god.

I'm pleased that you are not a terrorist. But I have some bad news for you. According to the Qur'an, if you aren't leaving your home to fight jihad in Allah's Cause, you are a hypocrite, and you are no longer a Muslim. Furthermore, according to the Qur'an, your god hates you. Allah's most repetitive theme in the Mecca surahs is the pain and punishment he will personally inflict in hell. Allah's most repetitive theme in the Medina surahs is that peaceful Muslims are hypocrites and that they will endure the worst of these tortures.

I urge you to read Ishaq's Sira. It is the only account of Muhammad's life written within 200 years of his death. Since you are not a terrorist, you won't like the real Muhammad very well because he was a terrorist according to the Sira.

Your claim that I bring unreliable information is bogus. It is Muslims who have been deceived by their clerics. I only quote from 5 sources. They are Islam's oldest and most reliable. Anything that is said about Islam or Muhammad that isn't based upon what these five books say is unreliable opinion. The simple truth is either the Hadith Collections in Ishaq's Sira and Tabari's History are right, and Muhammad was a very evil and violent man, or they are wrong and virtually nothing is known of him or the Qur'an he said he got from Gabriel. Muslim Jihadists following Muhammad's and Allah's orders and example are killing millions and the best you can do is to say that some misguided Christians have killed a few. The difference isn't only in the magnitude of the murders, it's also in the authorization. There is no New Testament order for Christians to kill. There are thousands of them in the Qur'an and Sunnah ordering Muslims to kill non-Muslims and former Muslims called hypocrites. The OT commands were for the Canaanites and thus they do not apply today. The Qur'an's orders to fight and kill are open ended. Muslims are ordered to fight until the only religion is Islam. According to the Qur'an and Hadith Collections, or Sunnah, all good Muslims are killers. That is the opposite of the Bible.

You are splitting hairs, often incorrectly, and are missing the forest for the trees. I have listed 1000 Islamic verses that command and glorify fighting. The enemy is peaceful Muslims called hypocrites, Christians, Jews, and all non-Muslims.

Islam is a call to arms. Muslims are ordered to fight and kill until all non-Muslims either surrender and pay the jizah tax, or die. I have arranged these by subject like Bukhari, and I have arranged them chronologically, in context, like Ishaq. The message is the same either way.

There is no "authentic" version. There are many translations. I have 12 on the Qur'an alone and I consult at least 5 of them before I render any passage to text. However, you should know, that one out of every five verses in the Qur'an is indecipherable in any language. Allah leaves words out, he uses made up words that no one understands, and he omits context and chronology. That is why Qur'an translations differ so significantly.

Each of the following quotes is from the "Spoils of War" surah. It explains why Muslims are willing to kill to achieve their monopoly. Qur'an 8:1 "They ask you about the benefits of capturing the spoils of war. Tell them: 'The benefits belong to Allah and to His Messenger.' So fulfill your duty to Allah and the Prophet." Qur'an 8:5 "Your Lord sent you from your homes to fight for the true cause." Qur'an 8:7 "Allah wished to confirm the truth by His words: 'Wipe the infidels out to the last." Qur'an 8:12 "I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle." Qur'an 8:15 "Believers, when you meet the unbelievers in battle, do not turn your back on them for any Muslim who retreats will bring the wrath of Allah on himself and will abide in Hell." Qur'an 8:72 "Those who accepted Islam and left their homes to fight in Allah's Cause with their possessions and persons, and those who gave them shelter and aided them are your allies. You are only called to protect Muslims who fight." Qur'an 8:73 "The infidels aid one another. Unless you do the same there will be anarchy in the land. Those who accepted Islam and left their homes to fight in Allah's Cause are good Muslims." That is absurd. How can revealing what "the religion's" oldest scriptures actually say be considered "misinforming people?" If the Sira and Hadith collections are misinformation, then by exposing them I have done you a great service.

Here's the bottom line: either the Sira is true and Muhammad was the most evil man whoever lived, or the Sira is false and you know nothing about Allah's lonevoice. You are not the first Muslim to quote this verse to me as evidence of Islam's nonviolent nature. So not to duplicate my efforts I'll share what I wrote about it in the Source Material Appendix of Prophet of Doom. First, we'll look at the source of the Qur'anic quote that you removed from its context. Then we'll examine what follows. By the time we're done, you'll have to make a decision regarding your position and about Islam.

One of the Qur'an's Cain and Abel stories is found in Qur'an 5:30. It begins much as it does in the Biblical account with Cain killing his brother Abel, though Allah doesn't seem to recall their names in this rendition. Yet the moment one unnamed brother kills the other, the story changes and no longer follows the Biblical trail. The Qur'an's variant was plagiarized from books drafted centuries after the Old Testament had been canonized, after even the New Testament was written: the Targum of Jonathan-ben-Uzziah, The Targum of Jerusalem, and The Pirke-Rabbi Eleazar. All three are Jewish myths composed from oral traditions between 150 to 200 A.D.

The Qur'an says: Qur'an 5:31 "Then Allah sent a raven who scratched the ground to show him how to hide the shame of the dead body of his brother. 'Woe is me!' said he; 'Was I not even able to be as this raven, and to hide the dead body of my brother?' Then he became full of regrets." We find a striking parallel in Talmudic sources. The Targum of Jonathan-ben-Uzziah says: "Adam and Eve, sitting by the corpse, wept not knowing what to do, for they had no knowledge of burial. A raven came up, took the dead body of its fellow, and having scratched at the ground, buried it thus before their eyes. Adam said, 'Let us follow the example of the raven,' so taking up Abel's body, buried it at once."

Apart from the contrast between who buried whom, the two stories are otherwise uncannily similar. We can only conclude that it was from here that Muhammad, or a later compiler, obtained his "scripture." A Jewish fable came to be repeated as a historical fact in the Qur'an.

Yet that is not all. We find further proof of plagiarism of apocryphal Jewish literature; this time in the Jewish Mishnah Sanhedrin. The Qur'an reads: Qur'an 5:32 "On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone slew a person - unless it be in retaliation for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew all mankind: and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all humanity." The Mishnah Sanhedrin 4:5 says: "We find it said in the case of Cain who murdered his brother, the voice of thy brother's blood cries out [this is a quote from Genesis 4:10, but not the rest...], and he says, it does not say he has blood in the singular, but bloods in the plural. It was singular in order to show that to him who kills a single individual, it should be reckoned that he has slain all humanity. But to him who has preserved the life of a single individual, it is counted that he has preserved all mankind."

There is no Qur'anic connection between the previous verse, 31, and that which we find in the 32nd. What does the murder of Abel by Cain have to do with the slaying or saving of the whole people? Ironically, the 32nd verse, supports the basis of the Old Testament hope for the finished work of the Messiah, who was to take away the sins of the world (John 1:29). Yet, in the Qur'an it doesn't flow from the verse which preceded it. And remember, the Mishnah is nothing but the speculation of one rabbi commenting on a fable. Yet this rabbi's comments are repeated almost word-for-word in the Qur'an. The muses of a mere human become the Qur'anic holy writ, and were attributed to God. That's real embarrassing.

Speaking of embarrassing, I'd like to share something directly related to this Qur'an passage. The largest commercial radio station in the United Kingdom asked me to spend two hours speaking about the relationship between fundamental Islam and terrorism. Over the course of the interview, the station received several hundred phone calls and emails from irate Muslims. One woman, toward the end of the program, said, "You are typical of Americans who speak about things that you know nothing about. You don't understand Islam or the Qur'an. You've taken everything out of context and have interpreted it too literally." She went on to explain, "Islam is nonviolent because the Qur'an says: 'If anyone kills a person, it is as if he killed all mankind and if anyone saves a life, it is as if he saves all of mankind.'"

Forgetting for a moment that the entire quote was pilfered verbatim from Mishnah Sanhedrin 4:5 , proving that Qur'an 5:32 was plagiarized not inspired, the Islamic apologist omitted the core of the verse and all of what follows. She misquoted the Qur'an by omitting from the verse, its exemption for murder: "except in retaliation or the spread of mischief." The "spread of mischief" is "non-Islamic behavior" and a "mischief maker" is anyone who does not "submit to and obey Allah and his Apostle." Then she took the verse out of context by not completing the point Allah was making. The next verse flows from the previous one. And Qur'an 5:33 is violent, murderous, and intolerant: "The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and who do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified, or their hands and their feet shall be cut off on opposite sides, or they shall be exiled. That is their disgrace in this world, and a dreadful torment is theirs in Hell." Then: Qur'an 5:34 "Except for those who came back (as Muslims) with repentance before they fall into your power."

In trying to defend Islam and the Qur'an, the Muslim woman quoted a verse that was inspired by Jewish folklore rather than an Arab god. Then she did what she falsely accused me of doing; she misquoted the Qur'an and took it out of context. But worst of all she tried to deceive the millions who were listening to the show into believing that Islam, the Qur'an, and its god were peaceful when the very passage she selected required Muslims to "punish" and "disgrace" non-Muslims with: murder, torture, mutilation, enslavement, or exile so that Allah might "torment them in Hell."

It's hard to know if the woman had been deceived or if she was intent on deceiving. Both are equally bad, and both are symptomatic of Islam. And lest I forget, the next caller angrily told me, "I pledge to kill you to save mankind from you." Trying to save Muslims from the deception of Islam and non-Muslims from the terror it inspires, requires patience and love.

So, dear Muslim, you have selected one of hundreds of Qur'an verses that were plagiarized from the uninspired Talmud. I cover many of these in the Source Material appexdix. They confirm that the Qur'an wasn't given to Muhammad by Allah but instead was stolen from Jews. And in an attempt to show that "Islam is not violent or terrorist but rather a religion of peace and submission and stresses on the sanctity of human life," you proved just the opposite. So if you are a Muslim because you believe what you wrote, you need to reevaluate your faith - as it is misguided. (Craig)

Actually the opposite is true. According to Allah in the Medina surahs, a Muslim ceases to be a Muslim when they cease being violent. Allah says that a Muslim who does not leave his home to fight Jihad in Allah's Cause is a hypocrite. Allah hates peaceful Muslim hypocrites so much he says that they are the most vile creatures, that they will go to hell, and he orders good Muslims to kill them for rejecting Islam. If you are a peaceful Muslim, your god hates you!

Again, there still may be hope for you. According to each of the oldest Islamic sources Muhammad was a terrorist as he attacked civilians with armed militants over 70 times. He focused on fighting, and revealed scriptures that justified and glorified fighting. Muhammad was a pirate because he fought for money, never souls. He was a thief, plundering and robbing most every community within camel's ride of Medina. There is even a Qur'an surah dedicated to booty. There are hundreds of murders depicted in the Hadith. Many are detailed and repulsive. Most were done on Muhammad's orders. The primary source of funds Muhammad used to finance Islam was the slave trade. How can you be a Muslim and be ignorant of these things?

The Islamic scriptures order Muslims to fight and kill non-Muslims until there are no more non-Muslims and you want to cultivate altruism. Allah orders Muslims to kill all peaceful Muslims and you think that we should ignore such a dogma. Muslims have brought the light to Europe in the Middle ages . This is nonsense. Muslims came to Europe with bloody swords. They conquered, plundered, and taxed--following Muhammad's orders. They did the same thing in Arabia, Africa, Egypt, Syria, Judea, Turkey, and Persia. The first four generations following Muhammad's death were some of the most barbaric pirates the world has ever known.

But eventually, the once-peaceful Arabs became peaceful again. After four generations they lost their passion for their prophet's orders to fight jihad. The hundred years that followed was Islam's one bright moment in its 1400 year history.

But then something terrible happened in Baghdad, the capital of the Islamic world. Hisham published Ishaq's Sira. Bukhari published his Hadith Collection. The Qur'an was written and distributed. Once again, Muslims were confronted by the hateful, covetous, and violent words of their prophet and god. They ceased being tolerant to their victims and ceased being productive as a culture. Islam was lethal.

Europe was poisoned at the time by another mix of ego, greed, violence, politics, and religion. The Roman Catholic Church acted badly. They prohibited sermons in the common tongue of the people and they outlawed Bibles in a language anyone understood. They were evil. There is no excuse for their horrific behavior as there is no excuse for the behavior of Muslim militants today.

Eventually something changed in Europe. John Wycliffe translated the Bible into English. Others followed in his footsteps and this led to the Reformation. When people could read the words of Yahweh for themselves and examine the deeds of Yahshua, they became real Christians and civilization flourished.

Simply stated - Yahweh's words and Allah's had the opposite effect. The reason is obvious. Yahweh and Allah are opposites, as are their scriptures, characters, desires. (Craig)

You have either been deceived or you know the truth and are trying to deceive others. This is not the message of Islam--the message in the Qur'an or the message of the Sunnah. There is no choice in Islam. There is no freedom in Islam. As a result, the only way Islam has spread is with the sword. The Hadith and Qur'an say: Wipe the infidels out to the last. Fight the unbelievers until the only religion is Islam. It doesn't tell Muslims to preach Islam to unbelievers in hopes of convincing them on its merits. Calling Prophet of Doom "propaganda" is hilarious considering the fact that the book is a presentation of the five earliest and most highly regarded Islamic sources. First, you have misquoted Allah's Qur'anic order which is odd since you have bet your eternity on its validity. Qur'an 5:33 "The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive after corruption, making mischief in the land [those who refuse to surrender to Islam] is murder, execution, crucifixion, the cutting off of hands and feet on opposite sides, or they should be imprisoned. That is their degradation and disgrace in this world. And a great torment of an awful doom awaits them in the hereafter. Except for those who repent (and become Muslims) before you overpower them and they fall into your control."

Second, the verse you misquoted is proof that Islam is precisely what you say it is not.

Your line "Fighting and slaying the enemy has never meant physically being an aggressor," is in conflict with your scriptures. Of the 75 raids attributed to Muhammad in the Hadith Collections in Ishaq's Sira and Tabari's History, only 2 were defensive. Muhammad and the first Muslims were the aggressors on all others. And one doesn't have to know the Islamic scriptures to understand Islam's aggressive and violent nature. Within 7 years of Muhammad's death, the first Muslims had attacked and conquered Arabia, Persia, the Byzantines, Syria, Israel, and Egypt--none of which had attacked a Muslim. If you aren't willing to read your scriptures, you ought to read history before saying such inaccurate things.
