Move Over Neville...Here Comes the Iraq Study Group
12/7/2006
Once upon a time, an ignorant and immoral politician sought to solve a growing threat to his country diplomatically, by forcing another nation to surrender its high ground to international terrorists. Was that politician Neville Chamberlain in 1938, George W. Bush in 2002, or James Baker in 2006 (or all of the above)? The last time the world played this game, the British Prime Minister gave Nazi Fuhrer Adolf Hitler most of Czechoslovakia. It was a "land for peace, two-state solution" virtually identical to that proposed by President Bush and Secretary Baker. In 1938, it took less than a year for the peace process to lead to world war - a conflict in which 55 million people died. While it is true that those who do not heed the lessons of history are destined to repeat them, the Bush-Baker plan will be far more devastating than Chamberlain's debacle because today's weapons are far more destructive than they were in 1939. The bottom line is: if (when) America follows the advice of George Bush and James Baker, you can kiss your country goodbye. The world as you know it will end. While Czechoslovakia wasn't Neville Chamberlain's to give, just as Israel doesn't belong to the United States, it didn't stop the Brits nor will it slow the Americans from sacrificing those places in the irrational hope of obtaining peace. I say "irrational" for several reasons. First, the politicized religions of Nazism and Islam are indistinguishable apart from place and time. Rewarding such regimes with capitulation only serves to validate and inspire them - it is the nature of such people. Second, Muslims, like Nazis and Communists, can't be trusted. Their moral code encourages deception and overtly states that treaties are not binding on them. (It is so ubiquitous in Islam, there is a religious word for the "legal lie" - al-takeyya). Expecting Muslims to honor the gift of Israeli land with peace is a fool's folly. Look at what happened after the Hudaybiyah treaty Muhammad made with Mecca, the British sacrifice of Czechoslovakia to Hitler, Kissinger's "Peace With Honor" agreement with the Vietcong, or Clinton's Oslo Accords. Each time, slaughter ensued. Third, Israel has too little land and Muslims have more land than they need. In the aftermath of World War I and II, the Middle East was carved up, giving the Muslims 99.8% of the region and Jews 0.2%. Any sensible person can see that the source of unbridled Muslim hatred doesn't stem from being given another few thousand square miles. Additionally, the persons errantly labeled as "Palestinians" are despised by their Muslim neighbors. Muslim loyalties only exist to use them to fight and slaughter Jews. Muslim nations have never even considered carving off one square mile of their vast unused land to grant them the nation that they so vehemently demand that Israel provide, and have slaughtered thousands of "Palestinians," who have tried to settle outside of Israel. Muslims simply want to destroy Israel because their religion, prophet, and god are anti-Semitic. All I can do is beg you to read the story of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Muhammad Hajj Husseini as it is presented on July 4th, 1974 in the Islamic Terrorism Timeline and learn how Islam influenced the Holocaust. I beg you to read the seventy-five pages of Prophet of Doom dedicated to the juxtaposition of Nazi and Islamic scripture. It is equally important to read the opening entry of the 1960s installment of the Islamic Terrorism Timeline, so that you can appreciate how the present-day conflict began. For those who may not know, James Baker's law firm represents the Saudis in the case brought against them by the American victims of the 9/11 suicide bombings by Saudi subjects. While that is an obvious conflict of interest, and explains why Baker wants to sell out Israel, those aren't the only reasons Baker deserves our criticism. Here are some excerpts from the Iraq Study Group: "Although the U.S.-Syrian relationship is at a low point, both countries have important interests in the region that could be enhanced if they were able to establish some common ground on how to move forward. This approach worked effectively in the early 1990s. In this context, Syria's national interests in the Arab-Israeli dispute are important and can be brought into play." Syria is allied with Iran. They not only share common interests, they share nothing in common with the United States. America has never had a productive or beneficial relationship with the dictatorial regime in Syria and never will. Syria remains one of the most prolific state-sponsors of terrorism. "Syria can make a major contribution to Iraq's stability in several ways. Accordingly, the Study Group recommends the following: RECOMMENDATION 12: The United States and the Support Group should encourage and persuade Syria of the merit of such contributions as the following: - Syria can control its border with Iraq to the maximum extent possible and work together with Iraqis on joint patrols on the border. Doing so will help stem the flow of funding, insurgents, and terrorists in and out of Iraq.
- Syria can establish hotlines to exchange information with the Iraqis.
- Syria can increase its political and economic cooperation with Iraq."
Syria has become a client of Iran, just as Lebanon and Iraq are now controlled by Iran. Syria and Iraq were enemies prior to America deposing the secular regime and replacing it with one controlled by Shia clerics. Syria and Iran have no interest in diminishing the flow of jihadists into Iraq and they have less control over their borders than does America. "4. The wider regional context the United States will not be able to achieve its goals in the Middle East unless the United States deals directly with the Arab-Israeli conflict. There must be a renewed and sustained commitment by the United States to a comprehensive Arab-Israeli peace on all fronts: Lebanon, Syria, and President Bush's June 2002 commitment to a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine. This commitment must include direct talks with, by, and between Israel, Lebanon, Palestinians (those who accept Israel's right to exist), and particularly Syria - which is the principal transit point for shipments of weapons to Hezbollah, and which supports radical Palestinian groups." It has seldom been and is no longer an "Arab"-Israeli conflict. The problem is religious, not racial. Until the West understands the anti-Semitic nature of Islam, it will continue to make the problem worse, not better. Most all Muslims hate Jews and yet most Muslims are not Arabs. Further, this is not a bipartisan conflict between foes. Israel wants to be left alone and Muslims are unwilling to do so. George Bush's June 2002 "Two-State Solution" called for a Palestinian state to be carved out of Israel, making the country indefensible, while rewarding the terrorists. Neither idea is productive, reasonable, nor moral. Iran controls Lebanon through Hizballah - the religious militia of Iran's clerics. Last week, they demonstrated their influence by sponsoring a 1.4 million-person march, in which they stated openly that they alone control the region. Allah's Party, the Iranian terrorist club Hizballah, is the only viable political power in Lebanon. They are not a proponent of peace nor of Israel's existence. Syria is the principal transit point for shipments of weapons to Hizballah, only because Iran controls Syria. Thanks to American blundering in Iraq, Iran now maintains a land crescent into northern Israel. And you can rest assured that they will use it. The Palestinian terrorist groups are not "radical," they are mainstream and fundamentalist. Hamas won 65% of the vote. Further, Hamas, the current ruling party in the Palestinian Authority, and Hizballah are rivals - not allies. Hamas is Sunni and Hizballah is Shia. America's ignorance of these realities is appalling and inexcusable. "The United States does its ally Israel no favors in avoiding direct involvement to solve the Arab-Israeli conflict. For several reasons, we should act boldly: There is no military solution to this conflict.- The vast majority of the Israeli body politic is tired of being a nation perpetually at war.
- No American administration - Democratic or Republican - will ever abandon Israel.
- Political engagement and dialogue are essential in the Arab-Israeli dispute because it is an axiom that when the political process breaks down there will be violence on the ground."
No nation on earth has been more hostile to Israel's survival than the United States. While that may sound inconsistent with what you have just read, American politicians give lip service to Israel while consistently funding and equipping her enemies. America is the reason Israel didn't take Cairo, Amman, and Damascus during the Six-Day War. America is the reason Israel gave the Sinai to Egypt, eliminating its most vital buffer zone. America is the reason Israel withdrew from Lebanon, making the nation more vulnerable to terrorist attack. America is the reason Israel gave the PLO autonomy over much of the tiny nation at Oslo. America is the reason Israel abandoned Gaza - narrowing the nation at its waist. And America will be the reason Israel ultimately abandons the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The United States has sacrificed Israel to garner favor with crude OPECers like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It is no different than what Neville Chamberlain did with Czechoslovakia. To call America Israel's ally is the equivalent of calling Britain Czechoslovakia's friend. And all the U.S. and U.K. have to show for all of their betrayal and capitulation, is an avalanche of terror. And yet, here we go again... There is no political solution when one of the parties cannot be trusted, as is the case with Muslims. And there is a military solution, but it doesn't exist in Israel or with regime change in an Islamic country. Islamic terrorism is funded entirely by OPEC. The solution is to keep crude from fueling the terrorists. The military can be used in that regard with no expense and very, very little loss of life. Israelis are tired of being terrorized but they are not tired of being at war. To appreciate this distinction, please read the Why Do Muslims Deploy the Tactic of Terror subheading in the Introduction to the Islamic Terrorism Timeline After investing the better part of a year in researching and writing the Islamic Terrorism Timeline and support documents on OPEC, the Pipeline to 9/11, and the Iraq War, I have come to realize that most all politicians are ignorant and immoral. But there is a special dose of hypocrisy oozing from this section that I don't want you to miss. The words "No American administration - Democratic or Republican - will ever abandon Israel," were displayed in a document that advocated doing this very thing to bail America out of the mess it has made in Iraq. The implementation of George Bush's "Two State Solution" and UN 242, would cut Israel in two - separating north and south. It would reduce the already thin nation to less than 10 miles wide at her waist, where 70% of Israelis live. Worse, the new terrorist state would not only have unrestricted access to Iranian and Egyptian arms, they would be able to deploy them without hesitation or warning. Israel would not only be abandoned, her fate would be inevitable. Rather than instill democracy in the Middle East, the only successful representative government, and the only free non-dictatorial state, would be destroyed. - The only basis on which peace can be achieved is that set forth in UN Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338 and in the principle of "land for peace."
- The only lasting and secure peace will be a negotiated peace such as Israel has achieved with Egypt and Jordan. This effort would strongly support moderate Arab governments in the region, especially the democratically elected government of Lebanon, and the Palestinian Authority under President Mahmoud Abbas."
The implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 242 will be identical to Neville Chamberlains "Peace In Our Time" deal with Adolf Hitler. It is among the most ignorant and hypocritical documents ever written. If the principles underlying UN 242 were affirmed, America would be compelled to return the nation to the Indians, Spanish, British, and Mexicans. No European country would exist, nor would there be any fiefdoms in the Middle East. In fact, if UN 242 were applied equitably to the world, only a handful of nations would be able to claim legitimacy. The implementation of UN 242 is precisely what the prophet Daniel was predicting when he wrote that a peace treaty will be affirmed with many at the outset of the seven-year tribulation. It will lead directly to the Magog War, the all-Islamic assault on Israel, which erupts into World War III, killing one out of every four people on earth. The prophet Isaiah describes the U.S.A. in striking detail and tells us that their "cities are laid waste" before the tribulation even begins, for having "looted Israel, thinning the nation at the waist." Thus far, every prophecy Yahweh has made has come true, and my guess is that He got these right, too. Egypt isn't at peace with Israel. Thanks to America, Egypt has one of the most sophisticated and substantial militaries in the world - and yet they have but one enemy, Israel. Jordan is hated by every Islamic country. As such, it is currently brokering a plan to destroy Israel to earn its way back into the Muslim fold. While Jordan is the only "moderate Arab" government, their dictatorial minority regime has murdered more Palestinians than any other nation. Black September 1970 led directly to the destruction of Lebanon and Syria's involvement there. Lebanon isn't a democracy. Non-Muslim candidates are routinely assassinated, something that happened again just last month. And last time I checked, Hamas won the Palestinian elections, making Fatah's Mahmoud Abbas impotent. And Hamas is anything but moderate. They exist for a singular reason - the destruction of Israel. You'd think that the Study Group would have gotten something right. The rest of the document continues along the same line. The solution in Iraq is capitulation in Israel. Yahweh said that mankind would destroy itself this way. I am saddened that my country has become the biggest contributor to mankind's annihilation. One mistake is simply following another. "RECOMMENDATION 13: There must be a renewed and sustained commitment by the United States to a comprehensive Arab-Israeli peace on all fronts: Lebanon and Syria, and President Bush's June 2002 commitment to a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine. RECOMMENDATION 14: This effort should include - as soon as possible - the unconditional calling and holding of meetings, under the auspices of the United States or the Quartet (i.e., the United States, Russia, European Union, and the United Nations), between Israel and Lebanon and Syria on the one hand, and Israel and Palestinians (who acknowledge Israel's right to exist) on the other. The purpose of these meetings would be to negotiate peace as was done at the Madrid Conference in 1991, and on two separate tracks - one Syrian/Lebanese, and the other Palestinian. RECOMMENDATION 15: Concerning Syria, some elements of that negotiated peace should be: - Syria's full adherence to UN Security Council Resolution 1701 of August 2006, which provides the framework for Lebanon to regain sovereign control over its territory.
- Syria's full cooperation with all investigations into political assassinations in Lebanon, especially those of Rafik Hariri and Pierre Gemayel.
- A verifiable cessation of Syrian aid to Hezbollah and the use of Syrian territory for transshipment of Iranian weapons and aid to Hezbollah. (This step would do much to solve Israel's problem with Hezbollah.)
- Syria's use of its influence with Hamas and Hezbollah for the release of the captured Israeli Defense Force soldiers.
- A verifiable cessation of Syrian efforts to undermine the democratically elected government of Lebanon.
- A verifiable cessation of arms shipments from or transiting through Syria for Hamas and other radical Palestinian groups.
- A Syrian commitment to help obtain from Hamas an acknowledgment of Israel's right to exist.
- Greater Syrian efforts to seal its border with Iraq."
RECOMMENDATION 16: In exchange for these actions and in the context of a full and secure peace agreement, the Israelis should return the Golan Heights, with a U.S. security guarantee for Israel that could include an international force on the border, including U.S. troops if requested by both parties. RECOMMENDATION 17: Concerning the Palestinian issue, elements of that negotiated peace should include: - Adherence to UN Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338 and to the principle of land for peace, which are the only bases for achieving peace.
- Strong support for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority to take the lead in preparing the way for negotiations with Israel.
- A major effort to move from the current hostilities by consolidating the cease-fire reached between the Palestinians and the Israelis in November 2006.
- Support for a Palestinian national unity government. Sustainable negotiations leading to a final peace settlement along the lines of President Bush's two-state solution, which would address the key final status issues of borders, settlements, Jerusalem, the right of return, and the end of conflict."
It is pathetic that America now seeks to climb out of the mess it made in Iraq by surrendering Israel to the terrorists it went to fight. The assessment of the Iraq Study Group was accurate with regard to the obvious - Iraq is a disaster, the plight is dire, democracy cannot be achieved, terrorism has risen exponentially, arming and training Iraqis has failed, and there are no good solutions. This known, the only remedy is to admit that America failed and remove the troops so as not to squander more lives, money, or national credibility. While Iraq will be left worse off than America found it, this result cannot be averted, not with more troops, more training, more recommendations, more money, or more lives. The sooner the nation realizes this and gets out, the better it is for everyone involved. Terrorism will spike briefly with riots and looting, but then go down precipitously. The Iraq War will ultimately be the most expensive in American history - not so much in the cost to invade the nation and replace the secular government with a religious one, but in the consequence of uniting Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon and placing them under the influence of fundamentalist Islamic clerics. They will attack Israel with conventional weapons and they will sail nuclear bombs into America's largest cities. Millions will die - all because America was ignorant of Islam and acted immorally, lashing out at a tactic while feeding the cancer.
